Securing arrangement for fitting a foot mat
A securing arrangement for fitting a foot mat to the floor of the foot space of a motor vehicle may have at least one securing element, wherein the securing element has an upper portion which is constructed for releasable fitting of the foot mat, and a pin which is connected to the upper portion and which is guided through an opening in the floor. There is further provided a clamping element which is locked to the pin at the side of the floor facing away from the upper portion in order to thus clamp the floor between the upper portion and the clamping element. At least one reinforcement plate is arranged between the clamping element and the floor.
Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

A heel pad for a floor mat of a motor vehicle may comprise a first section, a second section, and an engagement structure. The first section includes a first material. The second section includes a second material and may be disposed along a periphery of the first section. The engagement structure is below at least one of the first section and the second section. A method of protecting a floor mat of a motor vehicle may comprise attaching the heel pad to a portion of the floor mat below a pedal of the motor vehicle so as to be situated between a heel of a driver of the motor vehicle and the floor mat.
Floor mat with integral grommet and retainer
A retainer for a floor mat positioned on a vehicle floor, where the floor mat includes at least one grommet. The retainer includes a body having a top edge and a bottom edge, a flange extending radially outwardly from the top edge of the body and a protruding member extending radially outwardly from an inner surface of the body, where the protruding member is between the top edge and the bottom edge of the body, and the body is removably attached to the at least one grommet by engaging the protruding member with the grommet.

A floor mat assembly includes an extended floor mat and a connecting floor mat. The extended floor mat includes a floor portion and an extension portion. The extension portion includes a plurality of apertures and a plurality of tabs. The connecting floor mat includes a floor portion, an extension portion, and an adaptor member. The extension portion of the connecting floor mat extends from the floor portion. The adaptor member extends from the extension portion and includes a plurality of apertures and protrusions. The extended floor mat and the connecting floor mat interlock when the plurality of tabs of the extended floor mat extend through the plurality of apertures of the adaptor member and the protrusions of the adaptor member extend through the plurality of apertures of the extended floor mat to restrict vertical and lateral movement of the extended floor mat and connecting floor mat relative to each other.
VEHICULAR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL KITS AND METHODS
Kit and methods for collecting material in a vehicle are provided. A kit includes a collapsible receptacle fabricated from a hard material, a driver side fastener sized and configured to attach to the back of a driver side car seat, a front passenger side fastener sized and configured to attach to the back of a front passenger side car seat, an adjustable strap, and a floor mat. In use, the collapsible receptacle is releasably coupled to the floor mat and the strap is connected to the driver side fastener and the front passenger side fastener and secures the collapsible receptacle in place. After use, the collapsible receptacle can be detached from the floor mat and the material from the receptacle can be removed. When not in use, the receptacle can be collapsed to assume a stowed position.
Vehicle Floor Mat Assembly
A vehicle floor mat assembly includes a front floor mat that is positionable on a floor of a vehicle. The front floor mat has a plurality of reflective elements each integrated into the front floor mat for reflecting light. The floor mat is rollable into a cone having each of the plurality of reflective elements exposed to facilitate the reflective elements to enhance visibility of the cone for oncoming traffic. A back floor mat is positionable on the floor of the vehicle and the back floor mat has a reflective surface to reflect light. A pair of straps is each coupled to the back floor mat for wearing over a respective one of a user's shoulders. In this way the reflective surface enhances visibility of the user to oncoming traffic.

The invention relates to a passenger compartment carpet assembly for a vehicle comprising a packing piece (10), a passenger compartment carpet (20) and expandable material (30) injected into a volume present in particular between said packing piece (10) and said passenger compartment carpet (20), the passenger compartment carpet having a lower surface (25) facing towards an upper surface (15) of said packing piece (10). The passenger compartment carpet assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the upper surface (15) of the packing piece (10), when in contact with the lower surface (25) of the passenger compartment carpet (20), includes a first plurality of channels (11) configured in such a way that said channels (11), when injected with expandable material (30), cause the formation of strips of dried expandable material ensuring that the passenger compartment carpet (20) is retained on the packing piece (10).
