Car floor mat cover
The present invention is a modular cover for covering car floor mat. Many times, the passengers boarding the vehicles associated with a shared cab service do not take enough precautions to clean their footwear before entering the vehicle. Due to this the car floor mat is subjected to the onslaught of dirt, snow, soft drink spills, and the like, thereby rendering the car floor mat or rug dirty. To overcome this issue, the present invention envisages a modular cover for car floor mats, which is designed to cover the entire surface area of the car floor mat. One embodiment of the car floor mat cover includes a pair of mat sections that are connectable via a connector section. The mat sections and the connector section are interconnected by means of complementary engagement formations formed thereon.
VEHICLE HAVING GROMMET APPARATUS
A grommet apparatus for a vehicle having a first floor and a second floor, and including a pin fixedly attached to a vehicle floor, a post attached to the pin; and a volcano grommet removably coupled to the post and including a volcano-grommet base member and a coupling member attached to each other such that the first floor is positioned therebetween. The pin and the post extend at least partially through the volcano-grommet base member and the coupling member, wherein the volcano-grommet base member and the post are equal in length.
PROTECTIVE COVERS FOR USE WITH AIRCRAFT CARGO HOLDS
Protective covers (e.g., liners) for use in protecting aircraft cargo hold floors from potentially harmful or dangerous fluids and other substances, and from physical damage, are described herein. In some embodiments, the cargo pit liners described herein can include a plurality of raised portions and adjacent recesses that provide a protective barrier between cargo and a floor of the cargo pit. The raised portions can facilitate movement of cargo and improve impact resistance, and the recesses can collect and retain potentially detrimental fluids.
Extruded nib design for automotive floor mats
A floor mat and a method of forming thereof, wherein the floor mat includes a backing layer embossed to provide a plurality of nibs extending from a surface of the backing layer while the backing layer remains molten. Each of the nibs is tiered, including a frusto-conical base and a tip extending from the frusto-conical base, the nibs having a maximum diameter in the range of 0.5 to 3.0 mm and an overall height in the range of 1.5 mm to 5 mm. In addition, each nib is located within a column and a row and is offset from at least one other nib present in the column and at least one other nib present in the row.
Vehicle having grommet apparatus
A grommet apparatus for a vehicle having a first floor and a second floor, and including a pin, a post, a slot grommet and a snap grommet. The pin is fixedly attached to a vehicle floor. The post is attached to the pin. The slot grommet includes a slot-grommet base member and an attachment member attached to each other such that the first floor is positioned therebetween. The pin and the post extend through the slot-grommet base member and the attachment member. The snap grommet is removably coupled to the post and includes a snap-grommet base member and a connecting member that are attached to each other such that the second floor is positioned therebetween. The pin and the post extend at least partially through the snap-grommet base member and the connecting member.
Rigid carpet vehicle seat backer arrangement and vehicle seat with rigid carpet seat backer arrangement
A vehicle seat carpet backer assembly includes a carpet piece and resin/fiber material joined and molded to form a resin/fiber backer panel of a defined shape. A flexible toe-kick portion is provided a seamless transition between the upper carpet portion of the resin/fiber, upper carpet, panel portion and the lower carpet portion of the flexible toe-kick portion. A method includes providing a carpet piece cut to a size and shape and a sized resin/fiber panel material. The resin/fiber panel material is heated and placed with a top section of the carpet in a molding press to fuse them together. A shaped assembly is then formed with flanges which are inserted in channels of a seat. A polypropylene reinforcement sheet is attached to a lower section of the carpet that was not subjected to the molding press. Elastic bands are sewn to the lower edge of the backer assembly.
Two-piece all-weather floor mat with integrated snap-fit locking feature
A multi-piece floor mat for a vehicle is provided. The floor mat includes a first section and a second section that are configured to assemble to one another to create a single floor mat assembly that spans across two or more floor regions of respective seating areas of the vehicle. The first section has a projection extending therefrom and entirely from a front edge to a rear edge thereof. The second section has a corresponding groove defined therein and extending entirely from a front edge to a rear edge thereof. The groove is configured to receive the projection to interlock the first and second floor mat sections. The projection may be provided with a stem and a bulbous head for additional securement.
VEHICLE FLOOR MAT RETAINER
A vehicle floor mat retainer includes a vehicle carpet portion including an engagement portion connected by a first hinge to a carpet retainer portion, and a vehicle floor mat portion including a cap portion connected by a second hinge to a floor mat retainer portion.
FASTENER AND USE OF A FASTENER
Disclosed is a fastener for fastening a part to another part, the fastener comprising a sleeve and a bolt, with the bolt being configured to be inserted into the sleeve. The bolt and/or the sleeve or an element, which is located on or can be attached to the bolt and/or the sleeve, is/are configured for holding the part, the bolt being held in the sleeve in at least two positions which are mutually spaced apart along the longitudinal axis of the sleeve, between which positions the bolt can be translationally moved. The bolt and the sleeve are configured so as to allow rotation of the bolt in the first position relative to the sleeve and to prevent rotation in the second position.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A HEATING MAT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for manufacturing a heating mat for a motor vehicle. The method includes the following steps: providing a heating ply having a deformable structure and two heating elements inserted into the structure, said two heating elements being separated by a deformation area of the structure; stacking the heating ply between an upper layer and a lower layer, wherein at least one of the heating ply and the upper and lower layers includes a thermoformable material; assembling the stack by at least one fastening rod; and thermoforming the stack thus assembled, so as to secure the heating ply and the upper and lower layers into a single piece; and stretching the deformation area in the stacking direction.
