The first and second barriers are moveable between a stowed position, in which the first and second barriers are at least partially received within the mat body, and a deployed position, in which the first and second barriers extend away from the mat body. Each of the first and second barriers comprises a support arm housed within a boot. When the first and second barriers are in the deployed position, opposing surfaces of the first and second barriers together define a confined region therebetween in which a package can be contained during transportation thereof.

Fastening apparatus

A fastening apparatus includes an annular base element having an assembly wall for abutting a first component and a first fastening wall for abutting the second component, and an assembly element having a bottom wall. To enable passage through a second through-opening of the second component, the assembly element has a smaller diameter than the base element. At least two diametrically opposed foldable retaining arms are arranged radially circumferentially and connect the assembly wall to the assembly element. The retaining arms are each connected to the assembly element and the base element via a respective joint and form an articulated joint in the region between the joints. A region of the retaining arms between the articulated joints and the assembly wall forms a fastening portion, and at least one catching device is provided to connect the base element to the assembly element in an assembly position.

FLOOR MAT ATTACHMENT

A foot mat arrangement with a floor unit and a foot mat can be fastened to the floor unit. The foot mat can be fastened to the floor unit by means of a hook-and-loop connection. The hook-and-loop connection has a first hook-and-loop element, which is fastened to the floor unit by material bonding, in particular, by a welded connection. The first hook-and-loop element can have a loop pile fabric. The first hook-and-loop element is preferably fastened to an attachment. The attachment and/or a carpet can be fastened to a floor element of the floor unit, in particular, by a material bond. A vehicle may have such a foot mat arrangement and a method for producing the floor unit of such a foot mat arrangement is disclosed.

The distal end portion extends from a distal end of the base portion toward a front of the vehicle and is pressed against a hole edge of the mounting hole in the width direction of the vehicle.

Molded Lightweight Layered Floor Liner Construction

A molded lightweight layered floor liner construction includes a top layer with an exposed carpeted hobnail surface, a middle layer including a moldable thermoplastic coating on the back of the top layer, and a bottom layer having a downwardly exposed surface characterized by singed non-woven fabric. The floor liner is lightweight, molded by known molding techniques, impervious to water, liquids, mud, and debris, and resistant to sliding and bunching up on the factory carpeted surfaces of a vehicle. The exposed hobnail surface interacts very well with mechanical fastening systems such as the hooks of a hook-and-loop fastener system. Thus, accessories such as cargo organizers can be placed on the exposed surface of the floor liner, where they stick firmly until pulled away, removed, and repositioned.
