VIBRATION-BASED TRACKING SYSTEM
A vehicle movement tracking system that employs floor mats having ridges for generating location information in the form of modulated vibrations, detectable with an accelerometer. Two sensors are in a wheel of a vehicle. One sensor senses wheel rotation, and the other sensor senses vertical acceleration. The vehicle passes over a floor mat comprising vertically elevated ridges thereon that code the mat and thereby indicate the location at which the mat is at. When the vehicle travels over this mat the vertical acceleration sensor in the wheel detects the vertically elevated ridges and the wheel rotation sensor detects the distance between the vertically elevated ridges. In combination these two sensors are used to create a location word that denotes the mat over which the vehicle passes over. The location word is stored in non-volatile memory and later uploaded to a location collection station.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL AUTOMOTIVE FLOORING PART COMPRISING FIBERS FROM TEXTILE WASTE
A main flooring part for a vehicle comprising an aesthetic surface layer and a spacer layer, whereby both layers are consolidated and laminated to the adjacent layer to form the flooring part, characterised in that both layers comprise pulled fibers from textile waste and a binder, and whereby the aesthetic surface layer is thermally compressed to form a stiff layer and whereby the fibers of the surface of the aesthetic surface layer are heat set to smooth the aesthetic surface.
Molded foam, method for manufacturing molded foam, mold and method for manufacturing mold
Provided are a molded foam (1) that is lightweight and can be manufactured at low cost, and can reduce abnormal noise due to friction with a vehicle structure effectively and for a long time, and a mold (10) that can mold a molded foam that is beautiful and attractive in appearance.
FLOOR COVERING
A disclosed method for manufacturing a floor covering includes the steps of vulcanising a support layer made of an elastomer and assembling an intermediate layer to the support layer during the step of vulcanising, wherein the intermediate layer is made of a material selected from the group that includes polyester, polyetheretherketone, polyetherimide, polysulfone, polyimide, polyamide, fluoropolymer, polyurethane, and paper. A print layer is printed either the intermediate layer or a transparent protective layer. When the print layer is printed on the intermediate layer, the protective layer is assembled to the print layer of a set that includes the print layer, the intermediate layer, and the support layer. When the print layer is printed on the protective layer, the print layer of a set that includes the print layer and the protective layer is assembled to the intermediate layer of a set that includes the intermediate layer and the support layer.
Laminated foam sheet and molded article thereof
A laminated foam sheet includes a foam layer, a first non-foam layer positioned on one side of the foam layer, and a second non-foam layer positioned on another side of the foam layer, in which the foam layer includes a polyolefin-based resin, the foam layer has a thickness of 2.0 to 6.0 mm, the foam layer has a closed cell ratio of 70% or more, the first non-foam layer includes a non-cross-linked olefin-based elastomer, the first non-foam layer has a maximum static friction coefficient determined by JIS K7125 of 2.0 or more, the second non-foam layer has a maximum static friction coefficient determined by JIS K7125 of 1.0 or less, and a ratio represented by [basis weight of first non-foam layer (a)]/[basis weight of second non-foam layer (b)] is 0.5 to 2.0.
HEATED FLOOR MAT ASSEMBLY
A floor mat assembly for use on a floor comprises a floor mat, a first adhesive layer, a heating element, a second adhesive layer, and an insulative foam support layer. The floor mat comprises a topside for interaction with a person. The heating element is bonded to an underside of the floor mat with the first adhesive layer to heat the floor mat. The foam support layer is bonded to an underside of the heating element with the second adhesive layer.
Car floor mat cover
The present invention is a modular cover for covering car floor mat. Many times, the passengers boarding the vehicles associated with a shared cab service do not take enough precautions to clean their footwear before entering the vehicle. Due to this the car floor mat is subjected to the onslaught of dirt, snow, soft drink spills, and the like, thereby rendering the car floor mat or rug dirty. To overcome this issue, the present invention envisages a modular cover for car floor mats, which is designed to cover the entire surface area of the car floor mat. One embodiment of the car floor mat cover includes a pair of mat sections that are connectable via a connector section. The mat sections and the connector section are interconnected by means of complementary engagement formations formed thereon.
OVERMOLD DECORATIVE FLOOR MAT EMBLEM
A floor mat including an elastomeric mat and an emblem with a base and a shell. The base has a portion supporting the shell and a peripheral flange portion surrounding the supporting portion and forming a hidden portion within the floor mat and having apertures. The shell overlays the supporting portion and forms a visible portion of the emblem on only one side of the floor mat. The apertures are essentially filled with elastomer to fix the emblem into the desired location on the floor mat. Also, the emblem and a method for making a floor mat.
VEHICLE FLOOR MAT WITH SUPPORTS FOR IRREGULAR VEHICLE FLOOR
A floor mat for placement on a vehicle floor, where the floor mat includes a body having a bottom wall, an upper surface, and a bottom surface, and a front wall extending from the bottom wall. The upper surface and the bottom surface extending along the bottom wall and the front wall. A first portion of the bottom surface of the bottom wall having a support structure provided with a variable height such that the shape of the support structure complements the irregularities in the vehicle floor, where the support structure extends from the bottom surface of the bottom wall, and a second portion of the bottom surface of the bottom wall has a flat surface, where upon the vehicle floor mat being placed on the vehicle floor, the support structure engages the irregularities in the vehicle floor so that the upper surface of the bottom wall is generally level.
COMPOSITE ACOUSTIC LAYER
A composite acoustic layer is provided including a first nonwoven material consisting of filaments having a linear density in the range of 2 to 25 dtex, wherein the first nonwoven material is a thermally bonded nonwoven material, and including a second nonwoven material connected to the first nonwoven material, wherein the second nonwoven material is a carded staple fiber nonwoven, and wherein the composite acoustic layer has a total weight in the range of 100 g/m.sup.2 to 500 g/m.sup.2.
