The sidewall includes a heat source for providing heat to the cupholder. The electronic heating unit is integrated with the sidewall. The electronic heating unit has an electrical connector configured to be electrically connected to another electrical connector of a vehicle center console to draw electrical power from the another electrical connector to power the heat source.
STORAGE ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A storage assembly for a vehicle includes a console housing including a storage compartment and an access opening to the storage compartment. The storage assembly includes a tambour door assembly having a tambour door panel configured to move between a first position to close the access opening and a second position to open the access opening. The storage assembly also has a tray assembly including the tambour door panel. The tray assembly is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the console housing.
USING AN ELECTROSTATIC FORCE TO CAUSE AN OBJECT TO ADHERE TO A SURFACE OF A VEHICLE
A system for using an electrostatic force to cause an object to adhere to a surface of a vehicle can include an electrode and a device. The electrode can be configured to be disposed within a structure of the vehicle. The structure can define the surface. A shape of the electrode can define a shape of a region of the surface. The device can be configured to connect the electrode to a voltage source so that, at a time at which the electrode is connected to the voltage source, an electric charge is produced on the electrode to produce the electrostatic force capable of causing the object to adhere to the surface. For example, the surface can include a dashboard, a dashboard vent frame, a sunglasses holder cover, or the like. For example, the object can include a mobile device, a cup, a pair of sunglasses, or the like.
ASSIST GRIP STRUCTURE
An assist grip structure is made for a vehicle, including an opening portion formed in a side surface of the vehicle and a sliding door configured to slide in a vehicle front-rear direction to open and close the opening portion. The assist grip structure is attached to a side edge defining the opening portion at a position closer to an inner end in a vehicle width direction of the side edge and overlapping in the vehicle width direction with the opened sliding door. The assist grip structure includes: a grip part extending in a vehicle up-down direction; an extending part extending from the grip part toward an opening direction of the sliding door; and a cup holder provided at a position ahead, in the opening direction of the sliding door, of the grip part and interior, in the vehicle width direction, to the extending part.
Lighted cup holder for seating arrangements
A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.
CUP HOLDER UNIT
A cup holder unit includes: a cup holder; and a slit groove provided adjacent to the cup holder and arranged to accommodate a cellular phone. The slit groove has a bottom face, a first side face situated on a side farther from the cup holder than the bottom face, and a second side face situated on a side closer to the cup holder than the bottom face. The bottom face has a first inclined face inclined so as to be displaced further downward the farther away from the first side face, in a range adjacent to the first side face. A center of a bottommost portion of the bottom face is situated at a position closer to the second side face than the first side face, in a cross-section traversing the slit groove.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL CENTER CONSOLE
Center consoles for passenger vehicles are provided and include a main body, an inner storage area comprising at least one removable inner storage container, and an armrest lid over the inner storage area and able to be opened or closed. The center console can include multiple storage areas and electronic components.
Armrest and vehicle seat
An armrest for a vehicle seat that is rotatable with respect to a seat back of the vehicle seat, and the armrest includes a bracket that is configured to support a rotation shaft of the armrest, the hollow plastic shell to which the bracket is joined and a trim cover that covers the hollow plastic shell.
Reconfigurable passenger seat assembly of a vehicle
Passenger assemblies for installation in a passenger cabin of a vehicle are provided. In one implementation, a reconfigurable assembly is adapted to be incorporated in a vehicle, the reconfigurable assembly including at least a base member fixed within a row of passenger seats of the vehicle. The base member includes one or more attachment members. The reconfigurable assembly further includes a seat unit including a frame having one or more attachment members adapted for removable attachment with the one or more attachment members of the base member. Also, the reconfigurable assembly includes a console unit including a frame having one or more attachment members adapted for removable attachment with the one or more attachment members of the base member.
VEHICLE CUP HOLDER ALLOWING WIRELESS CHARGING
Provided is a vehicle cup holder allowing wireless charging. A vehicle cup holder allowing wireless charging according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a housing having an accommodation space for accommodating objects, including a portable telephone; a support unit coupled to the housing by means of a rotational shaft to allow rotation in the accommodation space, and comprising a wireless transmission module for wirelessly charging the battery of a portable telephone; a sensing unit for sensing input signals from a user or the proximity of a portable telephone; and a driving unit for providing driving power to the rotational shaft so as to allow the position of the support unit to be changed, on the basis of a signal sensed by the sensing unit, to a charging position in which the portable telephone can be charged, or to a standby position in which an object can be accommodated in the accommodation space.
