In-cabin cup holder
An in-cabin cup holder which holds a cup includes a recess with a bottom that is formed on a bottom surface of the cup holder and that supports the cup from below, an opening that is formed on a holder bottom surface around the recess with the bottom, and a lens that covers the opening from above and that emits light from below. An edge of the opening of the holder bottom surface protrudes upward, and a rib-shaped protrusion that surrounds an upper end of the edge from an outer side is formed on a lower surface of the lens.
Cup Holder Insert and Methods For Increasing Depth of Cup Holders
A cup holder insert for increasing the depth of an existing cup holder includes a generally cylindrical body with an open top, a bottom and a sidewall. The body also includes an upper lip extending outwardly from the sidewall and surrounding the top. An engagement system having a flexible lip, an engagement aperture and an alignment flange functions to secure the cup holder insert into an existing cup holder to increase the existing cup holder depth. A method for inserting the cup holder insert into an existing cup holder is also disclosed.
Beverage container holding device
A beverage container holding device includes a housing member for housing a beverage container, a movable floor attached to the housing member for supporting a beverage container bottom, a movable floor biasing member for upwardly biasing the movable floor, and a movable floor locking mechanism for securing the movable floor at a predetermined height against the movable floor biasing member. The housing member has a guide groove, and the movable floor has a branch portion extending through the guide groove to an outside of the housing member, and a claw portion extending horizontally from the branch portion. The movable floor locking mechanism includes an annular member which is rotatably mounted below a bottom member, at least one column member extending upward from the annular member in parallel to the guide groove, and a lock piece integrally formed on each column member for suppressing an upper surface of the claw portion.
HOLDING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A holding device for a motor vehicle for holding an object including a beverage container or a mobile device includes at least one active surface, one or more of a sensor system or a sensor surface for detecting at least part of the active surface, at least one adjustment means of the at least one active surface, and a control unit.
Personal object holder having an adaptive shape
A system for holding a personal object for a motor vehicle is described. The system includes a segmented surface having a plurality of adjacent surface elements. The system also includes a plurality of actuators, each actuator associated with a surface element and configured to extend and/or retract the associated surface element. The system also includes a sensor system configured to detect circumstances affecting the holding of the personal object by the segmented surface. The system also includes a controller operably coupled to the actuators and the sensor system, the controller configured to selectively control the actuators to extend and/or retract associated surface elements based on the detected circumstances so as to form a holding area appropriate for holding the personal object.
Console having a cup holder
A console has a separable cup holder in which the mounting height of the separable cup holder can be adjusted depending on the height of a beverage container to be stored therein. The position of the separable cup holder can be slidingly moved to store beverage containers with a large volume and diameter or a small volume and diameter, as well as other small items, by allowing the separable cup holder to be coupled to the console space such that the height and front and rear positions are adjustable.
Add-on element, system and method for producing an add-on element
An add-on element for adding onto a passenger-compartment component of a motor vehicle includes a basic body composed of a flexible first material, and at least one actuator body composed of a flexible second material. The at least one actuator body is deformable by being acted upon with an actuator source. The basic body has at least one receiving region with a receiving-region shape, wherein the at least one actuator body is arranged in the at least one receiving region. By way of a change in shape of the at least one actuator body, the receiving-region shape of the at least one receiving region can be changed.
In-cabin cup holder
An in-cabin cup holder which holds a cup includes an upper holder having a cup opening into which the cup is inserted, and a lower holder placed below the upper holder. The lower holder has a recess with a bottom that is positioned below the cup opening and that supports the inserted cup from below, and a side wall that is provided at a periphery of the recess with the bottom, and that surrounds a space above the recess with the bottom. A discharge port for discharging liquid is formed on the side wall.
