ROCK CLIMBING WALLS, FALL SAFETY PADS, AND ACCESSORIES
Videography of climbing surfaces and improved positional control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are disclosed. Currently, videography using UAVs (e.g. drones) avoid vertical structures. Rather, such drones are designed to navigate open aerial spaces. For example, UAVs often include sensors and piloting programming to avoid vertical walls. In climbing scenarios, however, a UAV provides improved videography of the vertical surface as described herein. As such, attributes of a vertical, semi-vertical, or non-uniform vertical surface can be recognized by a UAV. These surface attributes can be used to pilot and/or control a UAV. In certain embodiments, a transmitter is disposed on the climber, a normal climbing surface vector is determined, and UAV control settings are generated thereby to position the UAV. And, improved communication can be provided so as to relay real-time video capture of climbing activity to one or more persons on the ground.
Systems and methods for adjusting variable geometry, height, weight distribution dynamics in footwear devices and equipment
An active footwear suspension system is disclosed. The footwear system provides dynamic suspension using at least one or more variable resistance beams. At least one or more VRB extends from a heel section and/or a front section to a force plate or platform section of the footwear, thus providing selectable suspension to the wearer. The selected rotation of the VRBs from a first position to a second position provides customized suspension between a minimum resistance to a maximum resistance per zone.
Padded pole vault plant box
Embodiments of the invention are directed to an assembly for engaging an end of a vaulting pole, wherein the assembly comprises a base section comprised of a frame configured to be at least partially recessedly installed in the ground. A platform is connected to the base and comprises a top surface comprising a planar surface configured to enable receipt of an end of a vaulting pole during a pole vault plant and at least one padding tray adjacent to a perimeter of the planar surface, which is configured to receive padding. Optionally, a collar of additional padding may be provided comprising at least one padding, wherein the collar is configured for operative coupling to the top surface of the platform.
ROCK CLIMBING WALLS, FALL SAFETY PADS, AND ACCESSORIES
The inventions disclosed herein relate to designs of climbing surfaces, fall safety pads and/or accessories related thereto. According to some embodiments, different impact zones of a fall safety pad can have different cushioning attributes. The different cushioning attributes of the different impact zones of the safety pad can be based on a vertical distance to a directly overlying portion of the climbing surface. The different cushioning attributes of the different impact zones of the safety pad can also consider a predicted or measured frequency of falling from a portion of the climbing surface directly overlying each impact zone of the safety pad. Other intended climber attributes, enjoyment, and safety concerns can be considered in the design of the climbing surface(s), safety pad(s), and accessories disclosed. Further, wear, replicability, customizations of enjoyment, and updates to safety concerns in the climbing sport are further understood in view of this disclosure.

Pole vault landing system configured for receiving a collar
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a pole vault landing system configured for receiving a pole vault box collar. The pole vault landing system may be comprised of a base section and a cutout section positioned adjacent to the base section, where both the base section and the cutout section have top and bottom surface. The bottom surface of the cut out section additionally comprises a recess dimensioned to receive a pole vault box collar such that when the cutout section is placed over a pole vault box and a pole vault box collar, the pole vault box collar is received in the recess and the bottom surface of the cutout section is substantially flush with the ground surrounding the pole vault box.
