MOBILE CROSS-DOCK WITH DROP FRAME TRAILER
A mobile cross-dock includes a drop-frame trailer including: a first deck having a first height above the ground; a second deck having a second height above the ground that is greater than the first height, the second deck being located in a front portion of the trailer above a coupler assembly; side doors arranged on at least one longitudinal side wall of the drop-frame trailer; a back door on a back-end of the drop-frame trailer; a nose door on a front-wall of the drop-frame trailer; and a conveyor mounted longitudinally within the drop-frame trailer and extending from the back door towards the nose door.
Height adjustable trailers and trucks and methods of operation thereof
Height adjustable trailers and trucks may include height adjustment mechanisms having drive wheels, drive motors, power supplies, and suspension linkages. For example, the suspension linkages may be moved between various positions to adjust the height of a chassis or cargo box of a trailer or truck. In addition, lock mechanisms associated with the suspension linkages may hold various positions and associated heights of the chassis or cargo box. Further, the various heights of the chassis or cargo box may also be associated with different wheelbases of the trailer or truck. The height adjustable trailers or trucks may improve safety, ergonomics, speed, and efficiency of various operations, including transport, loading, unloading, sortation, storage, or others. Moreover, some operations may be (semi-)autonomously performed by trailers having associated control systems, such as various movement, loading, unloading, staging, or other operations within yards of facilities.
TRAILER
The invention relates to a trailer, in particular an expandable trailer, comprising: a trailer body, comprising a chassis and a bodywork, at least one wheel axle for at least one pair of wheels, wherein the wheel axle is displaceably coupled with the trailer body such that wheel axle is displaceable between an initial position and a stowed position.
Hydraulic single axle tow dolly
A single axle tow dolly is provided herein. The tow dolly contains a frame, a pair of wheels coupled to the frame and a set of hydraulic cylinders which are connected to the wheels. Each of the hydraulic cylinders can be connected to one of the wheels such that its operation functions to lower the frame to a ground level position and subsequently to raise the frame to a position above the ground for easy pulling. The hydraulic cylinders can operate to lower a platform of the dolly to a position which can more readily load a vehicle or cargo thereon. Thereafter, the hydraulic cylinders can raise the platform to an elevated level plane which is above the ground. The dolly can also contain wheel locks for a vehicle to be secured in place for towing. Further the dolly can have any of a pivoting tow section and a ramp for loading vehicles such as motorcycles.
System for moving a work machine
A system for moving a work machine includes a towing vehicle, a trailer arranged to be towed with the towing vehicle, and a towing arrangement for the towing vehicle. The towing vehicle includes a towing vehicle's towing point arranged under its chassis between the front axle and rear axle. The trailer includes a chassis and a towing arm, a deck, and wheels. The towing arrangement includes: a drawbar having a first end pivoted to the towing vehicle's towing point and a second end having a drawbar's towing point for the trailer to be towed, a first pivot under the rear axle and in a transverse direction of the vehicle chassis for pivoting the drawbar to the towing vehicle's towing point, a second pivot having a vertical axis and being fitted to the drawbar's second end to transmit a load of the trailer being towed rigidly to the first pivot, a third pivot, located at one end of the drawbar, to permit the trailer to tilt in a transverse direction of the towing vehicle, a vertical support for the second pivot, an upper drawbar, and a connector arm, wherein the drawbar, the upper drawbar, and the connector arm form a closed structure around the rear axle.
