A method and an arrangement for optimizing load position in relation to a transportation vehicle, comprising a platform arranged to the transportation vehicle for receiving a load; an actuating device for moving the platform in relation to the transportation vehicle; a sensing device configured to generate a vehicle sensing signal and/or a non-vehicle sensing signal; a controlling device configured to receive at least one of the vehicle sensing signal and the non-vehicle sensing signal; generate controlling commands based on the received at least one of the vehicle sensing signal and the non-vehicle sensing signal; and transmit the controlling commands to the actuating device; wherein the actuating device is configured to receive the controlling commands and to move the platform in relation to the transportation vehicle based on the controlling commands.
Automated self-loading cargo carrier for vehicles
The invention involves a cargo carrier for vehicles that facilitates loading and unloading of items onto an enclosure; the cargo carrier may be automated and self-loading via actuators and a motorized mechanism that may be remotely controlled. The actuators may be configured to tilt the enclosure and one or more motors may be configured to deploy a deployable tray housed within the enclosure, which minimizes user loading or unloading labor. Typically, on a front end of the enclosure, one or more actuators may couple the enclosure to a front portion of a vehicle support structure. On a rear end of the enclosure, one or more rear fittings may be configured to tiltably couple the enclosure to a rear portion of the vehicle support structure. The deployable tray may include a conveyor mechanism to further facilitate loading or unloading.
Vehicle Mounted Loading and Unloading Apparatus
A vehicle mounted loading and unloading apparatus is provided which has a stationary mounting rack removably attachable to a roof of a vehicle and a top rack that includes a container for storing cargo, such as bales of hay. An adjustment mechanism is provided to move the top rack relative to the mounting rack from a transporting position to a loading/unloading position in which the top rack is lowered behind the vehicle to facilitate loading cargo. A movable shelf may be provided on the top rack for assisting with loading and unloading cargo. The shelf is slidable between a rear end of the top rack and a front end of the top rack for placing the cargo.

A vehicle mounted loading and unloading apparatus is provided which has a stationary mounting rack removably attachable to a roof of a vehicle and a top rack that includes a container for storing cargo, such as bales of hay. The cable connects to a container. The second trolley is displaced t in a first direction while simultaneously drawing the container via the cable from the first grounded container to a second container position generally midway atop the trailer. Then, the first trolley is displaced in a second direction while simultaneously drawing the container via the cable from the second container position to a third container position generally adjacent the front of the trailer.

Sod scrap collection apparatus and method
A sod scrap collection apparatus is disclosed that enables pickup and collection of scraps of sod that have been discarded on the ground. The apparatus is pulled by a tractor and includes a pickup head followed by a dump bed. A pickup head conveyor moves pickup teeth along and over the ground at a particular distance in order to scrape up sod scraps and discard them into the dump bed where they are collected. A dump bed conveyor of the dump bed, which runs in the opposite direction as the pickup head conveyor, moves parallel spaced sweeping bars along a top of the sod scraps residing in the dump bed at an upward angle from front to back, so that the dump bed fills with the sod scraps efficiently from front to back.
Sod scrap collection apparatus and method
A sod scrap collection apparatus is disclosed that enables pickup and collection of scraps of sod that have been discarded on the ground.
