MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM FOR FACILITATING SELECTIVE MATERIAL MOVEMENT AND METHODS FOR EMPLOYING SUCH A SYSTEM
20170341558 · 2017-11-30 ·

A system and method are provided for facilitating selective delivery of aggregate material in bulk from a back of a dump truck or other truck bed to one or more wheelbarrows in a controlled manner. The disclosed embodiments further provide a system that could be operated by a single individual, including the single individual that is then manually moving the wheelbarrow from the truck to the particular location of the delivery site where the aggregate material is to be finally dispensed. The disclosed systems provide a self-contained mechanical device that is comparatively-easily mountable to the back of a dump truck or other truck bed for use, and is electrically, or electric over hydraulically, powered through the electrical system of the vehicle in order to avoid any need for additional power requirements.

Remotely operated hydraulic system
09802764 · 2017-10-31 ·

A remotely operated hydraulic system is configured to engage an unloader in a semi-trailer. The remotely operated hydraulic system includes a solenoid mechanically coupled to the semi-trailer. The solenoid is further mechanically coupled to at least one air input line and at least one air output line. A receiver is electrically coupled to the solenoid and communicatively coupled to a remote control. The receiver is configured to open and close the solenoid based on a signal from the remote control. An air cylinder is mechanically coupled to the at least one air output line and a manual valve. Receiving air into the air cylinder operates to open the manual valve. A motor is mechanically coupled to the air cylinder and the unloader; wherein hydraulic pressure from the manual valve is configured to turn the motor and thus the unloader.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTING GOODS

An autonomous vehicle for transporting and delivering livestock feed to a feed bunk in a feedlot without human intervention. The vehicle includes a chassis having a translation assembly for moving the vehicle across a surface, a delivery box operably engaged with the chassis and defining a chamber for carrying the feed. A load-dispensing assembly and a load-advancement mechanism are provided on the delivery box. Actuating the load-advancement mechanism moves the livestock feed toward the load-dispensing assembly. A control assembly is provided with programming configured to autonomously control movement of the vehicle along a predetermined pathway in the feedlot, autonomously control the load-advancement mechanism and load-dispensing assembly to deliver feed from the delivery box into a feed bunk at a preset location along the pathway, and/or control the ground speed of the vehicle so that an exact weight of feed is delivered per linear foot traveled by the vehicle.

Stick removal mechanism for nut harvesting
09789798 · 2017-10-17 ·

The stick removal mechanism for nut harvesting includes a frame having opposing side members and sprockets mounted on the side members. A roller chain is mounted on the sprockets on each side of the frame. A plurality of cross members having fingers extending therefrom is attached to and extends between the roller chains for travel therewith. A plurality of cross members and their chains define an endless conveyor belt. An adjustable agitator mechanism is installed upon each of the side members, which adjusts corresponding agitator sprockets to lift and agitate the respective roller chains. The stick removal mechanism is installed over the open top of a collector receptacle, e.g., a cart, so that debris is carried atop the conveyor and dropped behind the cart while nuts fall through the passages between the fingers and into the receptacle.
