Transport trailer and method for transporting an oversize load
A transport trailer and a method for transporting an oversize load are provided. In one nonlimiting example, the transport trailer includes a trailer. The trailer includes an elongated body that extends in a length direction and that has an upper base surface. A support assembly is configured to support the oversize load and is pivotably coupled to the trailer to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the support assembly extends over the upper base surface and beyond the trailer in a width direction that is transverse to the length direction to define a wide load overhang that extends beyond the trailer in the width direction. In the second position, the support assembly is positioned at an incline relative to the first position to one of reduce and eliminate the wide load overhang.

The present disclosure provides a multipurpose tailgate (MPT) that has a load lifter for repairing small engine machines or tools like tractors, lawnmowers, and light utility vehicles at a client's location. The MPT comprises: a rear vehicle door that serves as a ramp and load support platform. The MPT raises a machine to a desired height for repairs with the aid of two hydraulic cylinders, a plurality of different shaped trays with wheel locking holes for securing a machine's wheels. The trays can be extended at different lengths and distances apart. The MPT can provide improved convenience for on-spot repairs, increased space utilization, increased safety and security for holding a machine on the MPT, increased functionality for the MPT to accommodate a wide selection of small engine machines in different repairing positions, service requirements, and increased adaptability to aversive environments.

The presently disclosed subject matter relates to trailers and systems for lifting and carrying spools. According to an aspect, a trailer includes a frame comprising a first side portion and a second side portion. The trailer also includes a first rack and a second rack attached to the first side portion and the second side portion, respectively, each rack defining multiple notches. Further, the trailer includes a first lift structure and a second lift structure supported by the first side portion and the second side portion, respectively. Each of the first lift structure and the second lift structure defines multiple notches that are each associated with a respective one of the notches of the first rack and the second rack, respectively. Further, the trailer includes a lift mechanism configured to move the first lift structure and the second lift structure between respective first and second positions.
