Slide and cantilever ramp system

An exemplary ramp system for an automotive vehicle includes a ramp member including an upper ramp surface and a lower ramp surface, the upper ramp surface including a retention feature, a first channel, and a second channel, the lower ramp surface including a guide member, a platform including an upper platform surface and a lower platform surface, the upper platform surface including a guide rail and a support assembly, and a drive assembly coupled to the platform. The drive assembly is actuatable to move the ramp member relative to the platform.

Cargo lowering slide assembly

The present invention is directed to properly maneuver heavy cargo to an ergonomically correct lifting height, including for equipment stored on firefighting and rescue vehicles. Mechanically and electromechanically actuated means for raising, lowering, and storing heavy equipment in, on, and around vehicles and other structures are provided.

The present invention provides a locking assembly for a ramp of a lift gate. The locking assembly comprises an elongated locking arm and a spring for spring loading the locking arm. The locking arm is pivotably disposed on a pivot point relative to the ramp. A biasing tension in the spring urges a proximal end of the locking arm to engage with a cam portion of the ramp to maintain the ramp in a selected position. The cam portion has multiple engagement surfaces for individually engaging with the locking arm, wherein selectively engaging the locking arm with each engagement surface of the cam portion maintains the ramp in a corresponding selected position.

Locking arm system for a retention ramp of a lift gate

A locking assembly for a ramp of a lift gate, the locking assembly including: an elongated adjustable locking arm pivotably disposed on a pivot point relative to the ramp, the locking arm including an adjustment mechanism for adjusting a length of the locking arm disposed on a proximal end for engaging a cam portion, where the length of the locking arm can be increased or decreased by adjusting the adjustment mechanism; and a resilient member for spring loading the locking arm, where a biasing tension in the resilient member urges the proximal end of the locking arm to pivotably engage with the cam portion to maintain the ramp in a selected position; and at least one fastener for coupling the locking assembly to a first surface of the ramp.

Platform entrance gate safety barrier for a mobility vehicle lift

A lift platform assembly coupled to a floor and capable of transitioning a lift platform between a stow position and a ground level position. The lift platform assembly has one or more arms coupling the lift platform to the floor, a gate mount coupled to the lift platform at an outboard end, a retention gate coupled to the gate mount at a first terminus, and a mount pivot axis defined through the gate mount and parallel to a lift platform plane. The retention gate pivots about the mount pivot axis as the lift platform assembly transitions from the ground level position to the stow position.

Method and apparatus for loading and/or unloading caskets

A casket loading and/or unloading apparatus comprises a frame having an end adapted to be pivoted adjacent a rear edge of a bed of a transport vehicle for pivoting about a pivot axis generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the transport vehicle, and a motion generating device operable between the frame and the transport vehicle for pivoting the frame from a first generally vertical position to a second at least generally horizontal position. A vertically oriented casket in the transport vehicle can be secured to the frame, and the frame with the casket secured thereto can be pivoted from the first generally vertical position to the second at least generally horizontal position to facilitate unloading the casket from the transport vehicle.
