Traffic cone dispensing and retrieving apparatus
Apparatus for dispensing cones onto a surface and for retrieving cones from the surface includes a cone transfer device having a tower with a platform moveable to and from a lower transfer position for dispensing and retrieving cones from the surface. The platform is movable in a vertical direction between the lower transfer position and an upper transfer position for receiving a stack of cones from a storage area and for returning a stack of cones to the storage area. The tower includes a device for holding one or more cones in an elevated position and for releasing cones onto and receiving cones from the platform in the elevated position. The apparatus may include a lamp transfer device for attaching a lamp unit to a cone when the cone is dispensed and for removing the lamp unit from the cone when the cone is retrieved.
VEHICLE INCLUDING LIFT ASSEMBLY
This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle including a lift assembly. In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a motor vehicle, including a panel and an actuator assembly configured to raise and lower the panel between a highest position and a lowest position. When the panel is in the lowest position, an underside of the panel is spaced-apart above a ground surface.
Work basket with lift platform for deploying and retrieving highway panels
A highway work basket apparatus includes a vertically movable lift platform that can be selectively mounted on either side of the work basket. The frame of the work basket supports a pair of lift mechanisms mounted on opposing sides at the forward end of the work basket. A detachable lift platform is provided for selective attachment to one of the opposing lift mechanism to enable movement of highway markers between the levels of the truck bed and the surface of the highway. The floor of the lift platform has conveyors embedded therein and powered by the hydraulics of the highway truck on which the work basket is mounted to facilitate the movement of the highway markers onto or off of the surface of the highway. The frame of the work basket also supports a hitch receiver to permit a trailing attachment of a directional sign.
LIFTGATE MOUNTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An apparatus for mounting a liftgate column on a vehicle comprises a plurality of buttons attached to an outer housing of the liftgate column, wherein the plurality of buttons are arranged to project outwardly from a mounting wall of the housing and mate with the plurality of keyholes of the vehicle. Where the vehicle is without corresponding keyholes, a mounting member having corresponding keyholes is disclosed for welding to the vehicle.
LOADING ARRANGEMENT FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING LOAD UNITS ON AND OFF A VEHICLE
A loading arrangement for loading and unloading load units on and/or off a vehicle comprises a frame, wherein said frame has first and second ends and to be fastened to the vehicle in a detachable manner. The arrangement comprises also a transferring device for catching and transferring the load unit on and/or off the vehicle, said transferring device comprising a gripping point to be gripped by a hook system of the vehicle and a catching device for catching said load unit and for transferring it on or off the vehicle, when the transferring device is operated by said hook system of the vehicle. The frame comprises a dock, which is arranged in the first end of the frame and wherein the dock comprises a receiving portion for receiving the transferring device for at least loading and unloading said frame on and/or off the vehicle by the transferring device when said transferring device is operated by a hook system of the vehicle.
VEHICLE STEP DEVICE
A vehicle step device includes: a movable step that is provided in a door opening of a vehicle; and a drive controller that drives the movable step so that the movable step operates in deployment and storage directions. The drive controller includes a sidewalk detection unit that detects a sidewalk provided in parallel with a traveling road surface of the vehicle, a separation distance detecting unit that detects a separation distance between a side edge portion of the vehicle in which the movable step is stored and the sidewalk, and a deployment amount setting unit that sets a deployment amount of the movable step extending in a width direction of the traveling road surface from the side edge portion of the vehicle based on the separation distance. The deployment amount setting unit sets a deployment amount of the movable step to be larger as the separation distance increases.
Liftgate alert apparatus
A liftgate alert apparatus for alerting drivers when a liftgate is down before driving includes a pressure switch configured to be coupled to an air line of an airbrake system of a truck or a trailer. The pressure switch is closed when the airbrake system is activated. A roller switch is in operational communication with the pressure switch and is configured to be coupled to a liftgate. The roller switch is closed when the liftgate is in a down position. An alarm is in operational communication with the pressure switch, the roller switch, and a power source. The alarm has an alarm ground wire. The alarm is configured to be coupled within a cab of the truck or on a front end of the trailer and activates an audio and or visual alert when both the pressure switch and the roller switch are closed.
Crane mat lift
A mat lift is disclosed. In an example, the mat lift may be configured to work with a truck-mounted crane to store and organize a plurality of mat pads. An example of the mat lift includes a channel track that extends rearwardly on a back end of the truck-mounted crane. The example channel track has a downward bend that extends the channel track vertically down a rear surface of the truck-mounted crane. The example channel track also includes a winch or roller that drives a cable or chain in order to move a trolley from a first horizontal end to a second vertical end of the channel track. In an example, the trolley includes a post member configured to receive at least one of the plurality of mat pads thereon.
