The system comprises a carrier operable to receive the skidsteer's implement connector frame and securing means to secure the implement connector to the carrier member. When the implement connector is secured to the carrier member, using the securing means, the skidsteer is placed in a secured transport position on the loading deck.
Spring loaded tie down assembly and method for use with a vehicle cargo area
A tie-down apparatus is disclosed which is adapted to be removably secured over an opening in a structure. The apparatus may have a base plate, a knob, a biasing member, a cam plate and a fastening member. The knob may be used to rotate and depress the cam plate away from the base plate against the biasing force of the biasing member, to permit securing and detachment of the apparatus from the structure. The biasing member maintains the cam plate biased toward the base plate when no pressure is being applied on the knob.
STREET MAINTENANCE SAWING TRAILER
A concrete saw trailing having a deck for receiving the saw and safely transporting the saw. The saw trailer additionally includes a vacuum excavation system having a vacuum tank for recovering debris from a worksite, a power washing system for cleaning operations, and a cooling water supply system for coupling to and supporting use of the concrete saw. A pair of split ramps permit access to the deck from the street side of the trailer, and two opposing saddle bag water tanks provide enough water for the use of vacuum excavation system, power washing system, and cooling water supply system.
Trailer for a self-propelled swather
A trailer is provided for having a self-propelled swather mounted thereon. The trailer includes first and second caster wheel supports and first and second drive wheel supports. The caster wheel supports are selectively movable being stowed and support positions. The drive wheel supports are selectively movable between horizontally disposed and vertically disposed positions. Each of the caster wheel supports includes a caster wheel turning assembly to partially pivot the associated caster wheel as the swather is backed onto the trailer. The trailer also includes extenders for attachment to first and second ramps. The extenders may be stowed on the bumper.
Apparatus and system for transporting and operating a crane and method of use
A system for transporting and operating a crane includes a front adapter which connects to the front end of the base of the crane, and a rear adapter which connects to the rear end of the base of the crane A coupler pivotally connects to the front adapter, and also connects to the tractor. A dolly pivotally connects to the rear adapter. In a transportational configuration the crane is suspended above the support surface between the coupler and the dolly. In an operational configuration the coupler and the dolly remain connected to their respective adapters, with their weight fully supported by the ground. This allows the crane to be used with no reduction to the manufacturer's rated capabilities. In accordance with another embodiment, the dolly includes a rear cradle which is shaped and dimensioned to receive and support the boom during transportation. In accordance with another embodiment, the coupler includes a front cradle which is shaped and dimensioned to receive and support the boom during transportation.
SELF-CONTAINED, MOBILE RACK REPAIR METHOD AND TRAILER
A novel method of repairing and modifying a heavy-duty industrial rack includes: a) providing an enclosed trailer having: 1) a forklift compartment; 2) a ramp for the loading and unloading a forklift and its payload to and from the trailer; 3) a forklift for moving a rack to and from the trailer; 4) a rack repair compartment; 5) rack repair raw materials; 6) at least one rack component bonding apparatus for bonding components of the rack; 7) at least one rack component bending apparatus; 8) at least one rack machining apparatus; and 9) a hitch for coupling the trailer to a truck for moving the trailer to a new location when desired; and b) moving the trailer to an onsite location having a rack targeted for repair or modification. The method also at least includes: c) unloading the forklift from the trailer via the ramp; d) driving to the forklift to the targeted rack; e) lifting the targeted rack and transporting it to the trailer; f) loading the targeted rack onto the trailer via the ramp; g) locating the targeted industrial rack in the rack repair compartment; h) performing repairs or modifications on the rack; i) after pairs or modifications, lifting and removing the rack from the trailer via the forklift and the ramp; j) driving the repaired or modified rack to an onsite location; and k) unloading the repaired or modified rack from the forklift. A novel trailer apparatus is separately disclosed.
Method and a transfer trailer for transferring a heavy transferable work machine
A method is disclosed for slowing a transfer trailer that is used for transporting heavy work machines on a sloping base, the transfer trailer having a chassis with axles and wheels mounted on the axles. The transfer trailer is towable by a transfer vehicle. The method includes the steps of providing the transfer trailer with a brake mounted on the chassis and an operating device, the brake having a brake surface operable to press directly on the base for continuous dragging against the base, operating the operating device to allow pressure to be applied to the brake surface to press directly on the base for continuous dragging against the base to slow the transfer trailer, and measuring at least one control variable relating to the control of the speed of the transfer trailer during the braking and obtaining measurement data.
