Tow dolly comprises: a plurality of frame members, a first and second hub and suspension assembly for tow dolly and car hauler trailer with drop-down capability, and a first and second wheel and tire assembly. Car hauler trailer comprises: a plurality of frame members; a first, second, third, and fourth hub and suspension assembly for tow dolly and car hauler trailer with drop-down capability; and a first, second, third, and fourth wheel and tire assembly.
Vehicle containment and transport systems and methods
A system for storage, transportation, and display of a vehicle in accordance with the present disclosure has a housing comprising at least two female indentations and each indentation has tapered walls that form a cavity. Additionally, the system has a trailer having at least two protrusions. The trailer has a first protrusion on a first leg of the trailer and a second protrusion on a second leg of the trailer and the protrusions are arranged to mate with the at least two female indentations when the housing is placed on the trailer. Further, the system has a chock stand positioned for receiving a wheel of a vehicle, the chock stand coupled to a floor of the housing.
EXTENDIBLE BOOM SUSPENDED VEHICLE TOWING
When vehicles become disabled on a road or race track, they may be towed away to be repaired or discarded. A disabled vehicle that is repairable but severely damaged may be susceptible to further damage caused by towing it away, which may prevent conventional tow trucks from quickly and easily towing the disabled vehicle away. The presently disclosed vehicle towing system incorporates a telescoping boom extending from a tow vehicle. The telescoping boom includes a first towed vehicle attachment mechanism extending from a distal end of the telescoping boom and a second towed vehicle attachment mechanism extending from a proximal end of the telescoping boom. The first and second vehicle attachment mechanism connect the boom to the disabled vehicle and the boom is used to lift and suspend the disabled vehicle behind the tow vehicle as the disabled vehicle is towed away.
Winch mechanism for a carrier truck
A mechanism for a winch assembly includes a link assembly and a bracket. The link assembly includes an actuator having an end configured to be coupled to a winch free spool device, a bushing coupled to the actuator, and a projection extending from the bushing. The bracket defines an aperture that receives the actuator, and the aperture includes a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion of the aperture is sized to receive the bushing therethrough and the upper portion of the aperture is sized to engage the projection such that the winch free spool device is selectively locked in an engaged position.
Trailer dovetail actuating system
A trailer comprising a main portion and a dovetail connected to a rear end of the main portion. The dovetail being configured to actuate between a travel position and a load position. The trailer additionally comprises a sled secured to the main portion and configured to actuate between a retracted position and an extended position. The trailer further comprises an actuator for extending and retracting the sled. With the sled in the extended position, the actuator and the sled is configured to maintain the dovetail in the travel position without the use of secondary locking mechanisms.
Repositionable load carrying tray assembly for a vehicle
The present invention is a combination of tilt tray and/or dumpster assembly that is usable on a light utility vehicle. When operating as a tilt tray, the operation of loading or unloading the tray is made easier by providing a gentle slope for moving payload onto and/or off of the tray. In dumpster mode, any load may be dumped directly off the tray. When in tilt tray mode of operation, the invention uses gravity to enable the tray assembly to pivot about pivot points as the tray assembly is moved rearwardly or forwardly on the vehicle. As the centre of gravity transits one of the pivot points, the tray assembly assumes a new tilt angle, relative to the vehicle. The tray assembly can be moved rearwardly so that its rearmost end makes contact with the ground. The tray may be loaded or unloaded when the tray assembly is in any angular position when the rearmost end is in contact with the ground. A unique hinge assembly enables the tray assembly to pivot, and/or to be forcibly rotated, depending on the mode of operation, into a wide variety of angles, relative to the ground. The invention is simple to control, compact, lightweight and versatile, making it suitable for use on light utility vehicles without the need for any special license or training of the operator.
Motorcycle lift
A lift system comprising a chassis having a frame. The frame including a first extension member and a second extension member opposite thereof. Each of the first extension member and the second extension member being extendable and coupled to the frame. A first scissor support is coupled to the first extension member. A second scissor support is coupled to the second extension member. The first and second scissor supports are configured rigid and extendable from each of the first and second extension members. A platform is coupled to each of the first and second scissor support. The platform is configured to rigidly support an object coupled thereto. An actuator is coupled to the scissor lift. The actuator is configured to move the platform.
LOADING DEVICE
A device that may be mounted on a bed of a pickup truck to enable smaller vehicles, such as motorcycles, snowmobiles, or all-terrain vehicles to enter from the ground level upon a platform of the loading device. This is accomplished by the loading device having a ramp that can be pulled outwardly or rearwardly from said device, and a motorcycle can drive up the ramp to the platform. A dolly slide is pulled outwardly from the device, and extends above the tailgate. The ramp then extends downwardly from the dolly slide, so that no weight or load is displaced on the tailgate.
