VEHICLE SPOTLIGHT WITH TRACKING FEATURE

A vehicle lighting system is provided herein. A spotlight is coupled to a vehicle and is configured to project light in a target direction. A controller is configured to wirelessly send command signals to the spotlight. A user-input device is in communication with the controller and is provided on a steering wheel of the vehicle. The command signals are based on user-input and control at least one of an aim direction and a light activation of the spotlight.

A steering switch device, which is mounted on a steering wheel, includes a linear switch that includes a hollow insulator having restorability and two electrode wires arranged spirally along an inner surface of a hollow part in the hollow insulator while being kept not in contact with each other, wherein a winding pitch coiling spirally the electrode wires is at least not more than 10 mm, and a detecting device that detects a press of the linear switch by sensing a contact of the electrode wires. The linear switch is arranged so as to be along at least part of a surface of the steering wheel.

VEHICLE OPERATION DEVICE

A vehicle operation device includes an operation portion mounted on a predetermined portion of a steering wheel, the operation portion allowing a switching operation to be performed by a tilt operation. When the operation portion is in an on state of the switching operation, a portion of the operation portion projects from a front surface and a back surface of the steering wheel.

Input system disposed in steering wheel and vehicle including the same

An input system for a vehicle having a steering wheel includes an input unit with a plurality of buttons that are disposed in the steering wheel of the vehicle, and a processor configured to detect an event and to assign a function to at least one of the buttons that corresponds to the detected event. At least one of the plurality of buttons includes a display portion configured to display an image corresponding to the assigned function, and an operation portion disposed under the display portion, the operation portion including one or more protruding members that are activatable. The one or more protruding members are configured, based on the image displayed on the display portion being divided into a plurality of areas, to be activated so as to correspondingly constrain a movement of the display portion relative to the operation portion.

On touch self-light growth steering wheel

A system includes a shell at least partially formed in a shape of a steering wheel and having a first layer and a second layer spaced apart from one another. The system further includes an LED coupled to the shell or the steering wheel. The system also includes a positive triboelectric material coupled to the first layer of the shell and that loses electrons in response to friction. The system further includes a negative triboelectric material coupled to the second layer of the shell and that gains electrons in response to friction. The system further includes an electrical connector coupled to the LED and at least one of the positive triboelectric material or the negative triboelectric material. Current flows through the electrical connector to illuminate the LED when force is being applied to the shell causing the positive triboelectric material to contact the negative triboelectric material.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANIPULATING IN-VEHICLE DEVICES USING STEERING WHEEL

An apparatus for manipulating in-vehicle devices using a steering wheel includes a reference signal input unit for inputting a reference signal to a driver through a charged plate, a touch sensor for receiving the reference signal through human body communication and for detecting a touch of the driver, and a controller for generating a control signal on the basis of the results detected by the touch sensor.

A motorcycle lighting system including a plurality of LED light members fixedly embedded within hollow frame members of a motorcycle, a series of wires attached to respective light members and threaded through the interior of the hollow frame members and connected with control members attached to the handle bars of the motorcycle frame such that a rider can control the color and flashing sequences of the light members when in use. The frame can include any known and usual parts including highway bars.

VEHICLE STEERING DEVICE

A vehicle steering device in which turn signal switches are disposed along axial directions of grip members of left and right steering units. While the grip members are being operated in opposite forward and rearward directions when turning to the right or left, the turn signal switches are also operated in opposite axial directions upon turning to the right or left or the like, and therefore, are easily matched with the movements of the steering units. More specifically, there is continuity between the movement of the arms during turning and the movement of the fingers of the right and left turning indicators, and thus operation of the vehicle steering device is facilitated.
