COURTESY LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A DOOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A courtesy lighting system is provided for a door of a motor vehicle. That courtesy lighting system includes an audio speaker, a light source, a network interface connected to the audio speaker and the light source and a control module. The control module is connected to the network interface. The control module includes a controller configured to operate in (a) an ambient illumination mode, (b) a footwell illumination mode when the door is closed and (c) a puddle illumination mode when the door is opened. A method of lighting a door of a motor vehicle is also provided.
FRONT STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
A front structure of a vehicle is provided with a vehicle front lamp disposed at each end portion of a vehicle front portion in a vehicle width direction. The vehicle front lamp includes a headlight, a cover member, and a lighting accessory. The cover member is disposed above the headlight. The lighting accessory is disposed above a rear portion of the headlight and below the cover member. The vehicle front lamp is provided with a ventilation path that is formed outward or inward of the headlight in the vehicle width direction below the cover member and that allows traveling wind from a vehicle front side to pass toward a vehicle rear side.
Daylight opening surround
The present invention relates to a daylight opening surround (3; 101) for a motor vehicle (1). The surround (3; 101) has a light transmitting element (15; 103) for transmitting light from a light source (19; 111). The present invention also relates to a light transmitting element (15; 103) for a surround (3; 101); a controller for a daylight opening surround (3; 101); and a motor vehicle (1).
User-configurable indication device for use with an on-demand transport service
An indication device for a vehicle of a service provider associated with a transport service includes an output device and a communication interface for establishing a communication link with a provider device of the service provider. The communication interface can receive, via the communication link, a set of output configuration data associated with a request for the transport service to cause the output device to transition from outputting a default configuration to outputting the output configuration based on a determined state of the service provider or the transport service.
Power-supply device, light fixture, and vehicle
A power-supply device including: a casing having a space therein and formed by metal stamping or having a thickness ranging from 0.3 to 3.0 mm; and a circuit board disposed inside the casing, wherein the casing includes a casing portion having an opening, and a cover portion disposed to cover the opening of the casing portion, the casing portion has a through hole formed at a position corresponding to a connector terminal connected to the circuit board, and the cover portion includes a storage portion bulging outward from the casing, the storage portion storing either one of an electronic component provided to a face of the circuit board which faces the cover portion and an electronic component provided across the circuit board.
Window mounted lighting assembly
A lighting assembly includes a circuit board substrate having first and second conductive traces, a light emitting electrical device, and a pair of electrical terminals interconnected to the light emitting electrical device by the first and second conductive traces. The pair of electrical terminals are configured to mechanically secure the lighting assembly to a pair of corresponding electrical terminals mounted on a panel. The pair of electrical terminals are further configured to electrically connect the light emitting electrical device to third and fourth conductive circuit traces disposed on a surface of the panel.
Portable Brake Controller With Wireless Control Interface
A brake controller is provided as an inline plug between the towing vehicle and the towed vehicle or trailer. The electronics including an accelerometer and wireless communication radio are potted within a brake controller housing package. There is no conventional display or input controls on the exterior of the brake controller package. Input settings, and possibly output messages, are communicated through a smartphone or similar software or hardware application. The brake controller can identify a hazard lighting condition and avoid braking the towed vehicle during the hazard lighting condition, and can also distinguish when braking during signaling a turn, using the turn signals of the towing vehicle.
Vehicle illumination apparatus having adjustable modular optical units
An illumination apparatus includes a housing with a faceplate, at least one light source, at least one optical assembly coupled to the faceplate, a frame supporting the at least one light source, and a yoke assembly having a camshaft and a yoke with a set of lobes, the yoke assembly coupled to the faceplate and slideably received by the frame, such that the at least one optical assembly is moveable in a linear direction towards and away from the at least one light source by rotation of the camshaft.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE
An illumination device, such as the type used for vehicle exterior applications, includes a housing with light collimating and spreading portions, a circuit card assembly with one or more light sources (e.g., LEDs), and a lens. The illumination device may be arranged so that light emitted by the LEDs reflects off of a metalized interior surface of the light collimating portion in a collimated fashion and travels towards the light spreading portion, the collimated light then reflects off of a metalized interior surface of the light spreading portion in a spread fashion and travels towards the lens, and the spread light passes through the lens and travels towards an intended target region. The illumination device may be installed, for example, in a rear hatch of a vehicle and used in conjunction with a backup camera.
Vehicle lamp with a conductive reflector and a grounding connection terminal
In a vehicle lamp, light emitting diodes that emit light are disposed on an inner side of a transparent surface cover. A conductive reflector that reflects the light emitted from the light emitting diodes toward the surface cover is provided between the light emitting diodes and the surface cover. The reflector is disposed so as to be in proximity to the light emitting diodes. A grounding connection terminal is provided on the reflector. The grounding connection terminal is connected to a vehicle body.
