Adaptive headlights
A system for adaptive lights for use in a vehicle includes a headlight configured to generate light to be at least partially directed away from the vehicle to illuminate a portion of an environment of the vehicle. The system further includes a sensor configured to detect data corresponding to an environmental condition in the environment of the vehicle. The system further includes an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the headlight and the sensor and configured to determine the environmental condition based on the detected data and to adjust an intensity and an orientation of the light generated by the headlight based on the environmental condition.
Vehicle lighting device
Provided is a vehicular lighting device (1) attached to a motorbike (100) that is capable of traveling around corners due to the vehicle body being tilted toward the direction for turning, wherein the vehicular lighting device (1) comprises at least two lamps and a sensor (7) for detecting the surrounding environment toward the rear of the vehicle. The vehicular lighting device (1) comprises a left lighting unit (2L) and a right lighting unit (2R) as the at least two lamps. The sensor (7) is disposed between the left lighting unit (2L) and the right lighting unit (2R) as viewed from rearward of the vehicle.
EXTERNAL FACING COMMUNICATIONS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
Aspects of the disclosure provide for displaying notifications on a display of an autonomous vehicle. In one instance, a distance from the vehicle to a destination of the vehicle or a passenger may be determined. When the distance is between a first distance and a second distance, a first notification may be displayed on the display. The second distance may be less than the first distance. When the distance is less than the second distance, a second notification may be displayed on the display. The second notification provides additional information not provided by the first notification.
Work vehicle
A work vehicle is disclosed that includes a front guard that is provided at a front end portion of a traveling vehicle body and protects the traveling vehicle body, and an auxiliary device that can be attached to and removed from the front guard. The front guard is provided with an attachment portion to which the auxiliary device can be attached and from which the auxiliary device can be removed.
System and method for collision prevention
A vehicle frontal illumination system includes a bracket attached to a front of a vehicle, where the bracket includes a light receiving surface that faces the front of the vehicle. The system also includes one or more lights attached to the light receiving surface of the bracket such that the one or more lights face the front of the vehicle. The system further includes a control system in communication with the light, where the control system is configured to turn the one or more lights on to illuminate the front of the vehicle to reduce the likelihood of an animal vehicle collision.
Vehicle display device, method of controlling vehicle display device, and computer-readable non-transitory storage medium
A vehicle display device mounted on a vehicle and configured to display an image to an outside of the vehicle includes: a self-luminous display unit configured to display an image to the outside of the vehicle by emitting light emitted from a light source to the outside of the vehicle; a reflective display unit configured to display an image to the outside of the vehicle by reflecting light from the outside of the vehicle; an information acquisition unit configured to acquire environment information indicating an environment outside the vehicle; and a controller configured to switch between image display by the self-luminous display unit and image display by the reflective display unit based on the acquired environment information.
Vehicle Body Component, Method for Manufacturing a Vehicle Body Component and Method for Operating a Lighting Means Arrangement
A vehicle body component comprising a lighting means arrangement, which is configured as a LED strip being at least bendable in the longitudinal direction thereof and comprises a plurality of LEDs arranged one after the other and electrically interconnected; and a base body configured to receive the lighting means arrangement at a light exit side. Further disclosed is a method for manufacturing a body component and a method for controlling a lighting means arrangement on a vehicle.
Method for controlling and switching operational modes of an additional lamp for a vehicle
A method for controlling and switching operational modes of an additional lamp for a vehicle includes confirming a pre-set operating mode of the additional lamp. The additional lamp is switched from the pre-set operating mode to another operating mode only when a continuous first signal and intermittent plural second signals come from the vehicle. When the brake is operating and the additional lamp is in a non-flickering mode, the additional lamp generates non-flickering light. When the brake is operating and the additional lamp is in the flickering mode, the additional lamp generates flickering light. The additional lamp is turned off when the braking operation stops. When the braking operation continues and the additional lamp is in the flickering mode, the additional lamp keeps outputting flickering light. When the braking operation continues and the additional lamp is in the non-flickering mode, the additional lamp keeps outputting non-flickering light.
DIMMABLE EXTERNAL VEHICLE LIGHTING AND METHODS OF USE
Dimmable external vehicle lighting and methods of use are provided herein. An example method includes determining environmental light intensity around a vehicle, determining a luminance of an external light of the vehicle, determining a difference in magnitude between the environmental light intensity and the luminance of the external light, and selectively adjusting the luminance of the external light based on the difference.
External facing communications for autonomous vehicles
Aspects of the disclosure provide for displaying notifications on a display of an autonomous vehicle 100. In one instance, a distance from the vehicle to a destination of the vehicle or a passenger may be determined. When the distance is between a first distance and a second distance, a first notification 650 may be displayed on the display. The second distance may be less than the first distance. When the distance is less than the second distance, a second notification 660 may be displayed on the display. The second notification provides additional information not provided by the first notification.
