Cargo van rear door warning light and illumination system
An illuminations system placed on a rear cargo van door providing auxiliary lighting to improve safety. Light modules are attached to the rear cargo van doors so that when the doors are opened an amber warning light is illuminated along the edge of the open cargo van door pointing rearward. A task light preferably is incorporated in the light modules to provide downward task lighting. The lighting modules are attached adjacent edges of the rear cargo van doors without permanent modification to the cargo van.

The present invention provides a straddle type vehicle, comprising: a taillight disposed in a rear portion of a vehicle and configured to emit light to rearward of the vehicle and a detection unit configured to emit radio waves and detect surrounding conditions behind the vehicle, wherein the taillight includes a light source and a housing for accommodating the light source, the detection unit is provided inside the housing, the housing has a transmitting portion that includes a first region for transmitting light emitted from the light source and a second region for transmitting the radio waves emitted from the detection unit, and the first region has an uneven shape for diffusing the light emitted from the light source, and the second region does not have the uneven shape.

A vehicle communication system installed in a vehicle includes: a lamp for illumination, a display or signal; a display that is configured by a planar light emitter and has an information display function; and a control unit that is capable of controlling turning-on of the lamp and of the display. The control unit is configured to control the lamp and the display in a linked manner, and present vehicle information indicating a condition of the vehicle by combining light emission of the lamp with information display of the display.
Method and apparatus for a signal indicator light
A lighting module is shown and described having a housing with an opening therethrough. A forward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a cap and a rearward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a transparent media. A second media may extend from the opening through a wall of the housing. The cap may be securable to a bar via a mounting apparatus. A PCBA with one or more operational groups of LEDs may be secured within the opening, such that light may be emitted through the media. A second PCBA with one or more operational groups of LEDs may be secured within the opening, such that light may be emitted through the second media. Each operational group may be integrated with a control system of a vehicle, and may be operated individually or collectively. Each operational group may correspond to similar or different colors of light.
Light system including a lens texture shutoff
A light system including: (a) a first light region configured to provide a first light function; (b) a second light region configured to provide a second light function that is different from the first light function; (c) a blocker located between the first light region and the second light region so that when the first light function is activated, light from the first light region is prevented from passing to the second light region by the blocker and when the second light function is activated, light from the second light region is prevented from passing to the first light region by the blocker; (d) a textured surface in the first light region, the second light region, or both; and (e) a texture shutoff located between the textured surface in the first light region, the second light region, or both and located between the textured surface and the blocker so that the texture surface prevents material of the first light region, the second light region, the blocker, or a combination thereof from forming flash on an outside of the light system; wherein the blocker prevents light from only extending through the texture shutoff; and wherein the first light function and the second light function provide the light to a location around a vehicle that comprises the light system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING THREE-DIMENSIONAL OCCULTATION IMAGING FROM SLIM PROFILE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY
A lighting assembly and method generate a three-dimensional lighting effect with parallax, depth and brightness variability or twinkling among different viewing angles using an LED substrate and different optic component layers including one or more obscuration patterns and a reflection chamber for unobscured light from LEDs components not obscured by the one or more obscuration patterns. The LED substrate can employ mini or micro scale package LEDs or their unpackaged LED dies for slim profile lighting assembly. The LED substrate and different optic component layers can be curved, employ direct illumination and occultation imaging.
LED RETROFIT VEHICLE SIGNALING LAMP WITH PROJECTION LED LIGHT SOURCE, SMARTPHONE APP FOR CONTROLLING IT AND CORRESPONDING SYSTEM
An LED retrofit signaling lamp is described herein. The lamp includes a lamp body, which includes a cap, a projection part, and a burner part between the cap and the projection part. Power contacts are exposed from the cap. A projection LED light source is provided in the projection part and angled to provide a projected image near to the vehicle when activated. A signaling LED light source is provided in the burner part angled to emit non-projected light via the projection part at angles that avoid the emitted light being blocked by the projection LED light source. The projection LED light source and the signaling LED light source are electrically coupled to the power contacts in parallel to each other.
Hybrid lamp for a vehicle
A hybrid vehicle lamp includes a functional surface and a functional marking integrated within the functional surface. A housing has a plurality of mounting locations configured to respectively align a plurality of light sources configured to illuminate the functional marking or the functional surface, or both, in a lit mode. A controller is configured to individually control each of the plurality of light sources for providing different illumination patterns of the functional marking and the functional surface such that such that automotive functional lighting and non-automotive functional lighting is provided.
LAMP FOR VEHICLE
A lamp for vehicle includes a light source unit that generates light, and an optical unit disposed in front of the light source unit. The optical unit includes an incident surface on which the light is incident from the light source unit and an emitting surface through which the light is transmitted to form a predetermined beam pattern. The incident surface of the optical unit includes a plurality of divided regions that are divided in a grid shape, and the plurality of divided regions include at least a first divided region and a second divided region having different distances from a center line that connects centers of the incident surface and the emitting surface of the optical unit. In particular, the first divided region and the second divided region are formed to have different inclination angles with respect to a vertical plane in at least one direction.
Lighting Device for Vehicles
A lighting device, in particular a rear luminaire, for a vehicle is provided. The lighting device has a hologram and a light source for illuminating the hologram. An image, more particularly a real image, is thereby generated, which can also lie outside the physical boundaries of the lighting device.
