SLOW MOVING VEHICLE WARNING LIGHT
20220396196 · 2022-12-15 ·

A device for alerting approaching vehicles of a slow-moving vehicle is provided. The device includes a light bar having one or more illumination units positioned on a front face thereof, a sensing unit, and means for activating the one or more illumination units on the light bar. The light bar further includes a mounting mechanism on a rear face thereof for removably mounting the light bar on a vehicle. The sensing unit senses the location and speed of the vehicle and for compares the speed of the vehicle to a posted speed limit for a roadway upon which the vehicle is traveling. The activating means serve to activate the one or more illumination units when the sensing unit determines that the speed of the vehicle is less than a pre-determined value below the posted speed limit for the roadway.

MOBILE MACHINERY SITUATIONAL AWARENESS APPARATUS
20220382285 · 2022-12-01 ·

An apparatus for mobile machinery includes a sensor module configured for detachable fitment to mobile machinery, and a control module configured to interface with a control system of the mobile machinery. The sensor module includes an orthogonal sensor arrangement for sensing obstacles in three-dimensional space, an orthogonal indicator arrangement configured to provide a gradient proximity indication of an obstacle, and a wireless transceiver arranged in signal communication with the sensor and indicator arrangements. The control module includes a control wireless transceiver for communicating with the wireless transceiver of the sensor module, and a processor in signal communication with the control wireless transceiver, the processor configured to program, via the wireless transceiver of each sensor module, the sensor and indicator arrangements and with predetermined thresholds of obstacle proximity. If a sensed obstacle proximity exceeds a maximum threshold, the processor overrides the control system to facilitate situational awareness of an operator.

AUXILIARY VEHICLE LED LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
20220379800 · 2022-12-01 ·

The present invention is an LED lighting system which can be retrofit to an existing vehicle. The lighting system can provide sequential lighting of multiple lamps for effect. In a non-limiting embodiment, a 7-pin wireless remote controller may be plugged directly into a vehicle's 7-pin hitch harness port where it draws power and receives light signals for stopping, hazard (four-way lights), turning. It then in turn will process and communicate these signals to a wireless LED strip. In another non-limiting embodiment, a 4-pin wireless remote controller may be connected directly to a vehicle's 4-pin harness plug, if equipped, or spliced directly into the vehicle's wire harness if it is not equipped with a 4-pin plug. The 4-pin wireless remote controller will process these light signals and communicate them to a wireless LED strip.

Vehicular apparatus

A vehicular apparatus includes: a housing that is configured to be attached to a vehicle; and a first light source and a second light source that are provided in the housing to emit light having main wavelengths in mutually different wavelength ranges. The first light source emits light having a main wavelength in 490 nm-498 nm while the vehicle is being automatically driven.

Trailer illumination assembly

A trailer illumination assembly includes a trailer that has a plurality of running lights disposed on the trailer. The trailer includes a power source is positioned in the trailer and a female light plug which can be electrically coupled to a male light plug on a towing vehicle. The female light plug is in communication with the plurality of running light. An adapter plug is pluggable into the female light plug when the female light plug is not electrically coupled to the male light plug on the towing vehicle. Additionally, the adapter plug places the power source on the trailer in electrical communication with the plurality of running lights on the trailer. In this way the running lights on the trailer can be powered by the power source on the trailer.

Lighted Applique for Mounting to an Automotive Body Panel
20230097614 · 2023-03-30 ·

A lighted applique for a vehicle body panel including an opaque body panel applique and one or more display element cutouts each having a cutout profile formed in the opaque body panel applique. At least one non-opaque display element is mounted within the one or more display element cutouts such that a panel engagement surface is in contact with a panel exterior surface. At least one LED strip is mounted within the at least one LED strip channel and an electrical connection assembly is in communication with the at least one LED strip.

LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR TRUCK AND TRAILER MOUNTED VEHICLES
20230102824 · 2023-03-30 ·

A wireless lighting system used with demountable equipment, including truck-mounted forklifts (TMFL). The system includes a transmitter installed in a lighting harness or trailer lighting socket on a transporting vehicle. When the transporting vehicle's notification lights or signals (turn signals, tail lights, brake lights, clearance lights, reverse lights) are activated, a wireless signal is transmitted to a wireless receiver located on the TMFL, and a corresponding light or lights are activated on the TMFL. The system utilizes the power source of the TMFL to power the notification lights of the TMFL while being transported. Further, when the forklift is dismounted and in operation, the wireless lighting system is disabled until the forklift is returned to the transport position on the transport vehicle. This prevents actuation of the lights on the forklift unless the forklift is on the transport vehicle.
