Straight-Ahead Vehicle Signal
The present invention relates to a vehicular lighting device designed to be removably attached to a front and/or rear portion of a vehicle, and that is designed to signify intended straight-ahead travel of the vehicle. The device is comprised of a plurality of LED strips recessed under opaque glass wherein each LED strip is in a vertical arrow or chevron shape. An operator can selectively activate the lights wirelessly and upon reaching an area where a straight-ahead signal is desired, the operator can activate the system and illuminate the LED strips to visually communicate with surrounding motorists. The lights can automatically deactivate after a predetermined time. The vehicular lighting device can be integrated within or retrofitted to almost any type of vehicle, including but not limited to, cars, pickup trucks, commercial trucks, motorcycles, motorcycle helmets, bicycles, and more.
Lighting device for a vehicle, in particular an electric vehicle
The disclosure relates to a lighting device, in particular for integration into a vehicle surface, having a cover with optically opaque surface areas, a light-source carrier, arranged behind the cover and having a plurality of light sources, and signal structures which are arranged between the surface areas and can be illuminated for light emission, wherein different signal patterns can be adjusted by selective control of certain of the light sources for trans-illumination or illumination of one or more associated signal structures. The disclosure further relates to a vehicle, having such a lighting device, and to a method for carrying out various signal functions with such a lighting device.
STRUCTURAL UNIT FOR PROVISION IN THE FRONT END OR TAIL END OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A structural unit for provision in the front end or in the tail end of a motor vehicle, wherein the structural unit comprises a support body and at least two environment sensing systems, wherein the environment sensing systems are received on the support body.
Lighting element
A lighting element includes a circuit board including at least one illuminator, a housing having an optical element in register with the at least one illuminator on the circuit board and the housing including a peripheral wall enveloping a periphery of the circuit board, a heat sink in alignment with the housing.
Safety sign device with modular dual signs and related methods
A safety sign device is for a vehicle. The safety sign device includes a first sign having proximal and distal end, a first hinge being coupled to the proximal end of the first sign, the first hinge being coupled to a side of the vehicle, and a second sign being coupled to the side of the vehicle and being substantially parallel to the side of the vehicle. The first hinge is configured to extend and retract the first sign between a retracted position and an extended position. The first and second signs may be transverse to each other in the extended position, and may be flat against the side of the vehicle in the retracted position. The safety sign device includes a first flexible arm coupled to the first hinge and having an elongate housing, and visual indicators carried by the elongate housing.
Active fixation and retention system for automotive housing module
The present invention relates to an active fixation system for automotive lighting modules or component assemblies; more particularly, an active fixation system and methods dynamically apply flexible contact and clip retention arrangements for securing component modules to an automotive vehicle body efficiently that securably maintain interfaces for extended durations; the invention benefits from fastener hardware count reduction and assembly process facilitation; furthermore, the active fixation system enhances overall fit and finish to ensure proper sealing improvements that prevent external environmental or weather penetration and promote features that can effectively secure component modules beyond ordinary life-cycles under various operating conditions inclusive of vehicle vibration, component rattling and proper connection retention capabilities.
FRONT GRILLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES
The present disclosure provides a lighting assembly configured to mount to the front-end of a vehicle without removal of an existing vehicle grille or fascia. The lighting assembly of the present disclosure further provides for lighting on the side-facing edge of the front-end of the vehicle to provide for improved visibility resulting in safer operation of the lighted vehicle.
Emergency light accessory mount for a vehicle
An accessory mount mountable to a roof of a vehicle. The accessory mount has a horizontal mounting surface spaced from and above emergency warning lights. Accessories, such as spotlights, may be mounted on the horizontal mounting surfaces. The accessory mount provides a platform above the emergency warning lights allowing unobstructed view of the emergency warning lights without any possible of obstruction by the accessory mounted on the horizontal mounting surface.
Mount for inverted light
A mount for inverted light has a back, two spaced apart feet beneath the back, two tabs outwardly from the back, each tab having two pieces, an arcuate shroud opposite the back and an adjustment mechanism for the tabs. Opposite the back, the feet and tabs have a low friction surface limiting engagement of the mount with door glass. The adjustment mechanism includes knobs turning rack pinion gearing and knobs ratcheting one piece of a tab outwardly from the other. Beneath the shroud, the mount has two rests that receive a light attached to them aimed downward from the shroud. The mount has an elongated form for a generally centered position along the width of a door's window.
Motor vehicle
A motor vehicle (10), which can be operated in a self-driving mode, wherein the motor vehicle includes an illumination system (50) for generating light signal messages to individual road users, which includes a lighting device (100) and a control device, wherein the lighting device (100) includes at least one light source (110), includes an optical diffuser (120), which is equipped to diffuse by diffraction the light that can be emitted from the light source (110) in order to make possible a diffuse light impression of the optical diffuser (120), a carrier element (130), on which the light source (110) is arranged, wherein the carrier element (130) includes a cable conduit (140) for conducting an electrical line and a first fastening means (150) for fastening the carrier element (130) to the motor vehicle, includes a cover (160), which by means of a second fastening means (170) can be fastened to the carrier element (130), wherein the cover (160) combined with the carrier element (130) is equipped to hold the optical diffuser (120),and wherein the lighting device (100) is arranged encircling the motor vehicle in such a manner that when the one lighting device (100) is switched on, the optical diffuser (120) is perceptible as visually continuously shining light ring.
