Vehicle exterior lighting module
The disclosed subject matter generally relates to a lighting module integrable in a vehicle exterior which can provide sufficient or even improved lighting performance in a cost-efficient way. The proposed lighting module includes an array of light source units that are controllable to provide at least one of low beam light and high beam light, the array of light source units is adapted to extend along a transverse axis of the vehicle across a longitudinal center plane of the vehicle. Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a functional lighting module which can provide at least one of high beam light and low beam light that is arrangeable in the centre portion of the vehicle, between the common locations of the prior art headlamps.
Communication device and method for vehicle
Disclosed are a communication device and method for a vehicle, the device including a housing, an external lens structure covering an open front region of the housing, an internal lens structure mounted in the housing and covered by the external lens structure, a liquid crystal section mounted on the internal lens structure, configured to become transparent or opaque based on whether or not power is applied thereto, and a bezel disposed behind the liquid crystal section, such that the bezel becomes visible from an exterior of the communication device upon the liquid crystal section being controlled to be transparent.
Projected Laser Lines/Graphics Onto The Road For Indicating Truck Platooning/Warning To Other Drivers Of Presence Of Truck Platoon
A system and method are provided and include a light source projector with a positional actuator mounted on a subject vehicle that projects a laser line on a roadway upon which the subject vehicle is traveling. A controller is in communication with a platoon vehicle traveling in front of or behind the subject vehicle in a platoon and controls the positional actuator to project the laser line on the roadway between the subject vehicle and the at least one platoon vehicle.
Projected laser lines/graphics to visually indicate truck turning path
A system and method are provided and include a light source projector with a positional actuator mounted on a subject vehicle that projects laser lines on a roadway upon which the subject vehicle is traveling. A controller receives steering angle data from a steering system of the subject vehicle, the steering angle data corresponding to a steering angle of the subject vehicle. The controller determines a turning path of the subject vehicle based on the steering angle data and controls the positional actuator to project the laser lines on the roadway to correspond to the determined turning path of the subject vehicle.
Deployable trail sight
A trail sight for a vehicle, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a body configured to extend in a longitudinal direction along a length of a vehicle, wherein the body comprises a first portion fixed to a vehicle body structure and a second portion that is moveable relative to the first portion between a retracted position and a deployed position.
Warning devices with Oscillating Light Patterns
An example warning device can include: a plurality of light sources forming an array; a plurality of reflectors, with at least one reflector being associated with each of the plurality of lights; at least one lens for each of the plurality of lights; and an optical prism plate that directs light from one or more of the plurality of lights to one of a plurality of far field light spots.
LIGHTING ASSEMBLY WITH INTEGRATED OPTICAL DIFFUSER
An integrated lighting element assembly includes a transparent light-transmitting portion and an opaque or translucent optical diffuser. The light-transmitting portion has a light-transmitting surface. The optical diffuser is integrated or co-molded with the light-transmitting element to form a boundary of the light-transmitting surface. A light source is configured to direct incident light into the light-transmitting portion in response to a lighting control signal. A controller may generate the lighting control signal in response to activation of a user input device such as a turn signal lever or transmission mode selection lever. The optical diffuser may be parallel to and contiguous with the longitudinal surfaces of the light-transmitting element. A headlight assembly includes first and second headlights having respective low- and high-beam functions, and the lighting element assembly, which is positioned with respect to one of the headlights.
Frunk lighting system with variable lighting position and vehicle having the same
A frunk lighting system applied to a vehicle is mounted on a hood provided with an emblem on a front of the vehicle to cover or open a space of a frunk, and has an illuminating direction of light emitted by a light source changed into lighting for the emblem and lighting for the frunk by movement of a rotating mechanism connected to a motor whose rotating direction is changed by a closing signal and an opening signal of the hood, thereby easily implementing an appearance design suitable for a future motorized vehicle with a light-emitting effect for the front emblem of the vehicle, and particularly, automatically switches the lighting, which has illuminated the emblem in a state where the hood is closed, toward the frunk to illuminate a frunk space, thereby maximizing visibility and usability of the frunk.

VEHICLE LAMP
A present invention is a vehicle lamp provided with: an elongated light guide member provided in a lamp chamber, an incident end part being positioned below said member; and a light source provided in the lamp chamber so as to face the incident end part. The light guide member has: a light guide main part having an elongated shape in which one end is the incident end part, a prism part being provided along the longitudinal direction, the prism part causing a portion of the light incident from the incident end part to be emitted in the irradiation direction; and a flange part projecting from the light guide main part in the direction intersecting the irradiation direction. The flange part is provided with a reflecting surface that forms a depression angle with a projecting end face when viewed from the incident end part side within a prescribed range viewed in the longitudinal direction.
