The invention provides a method for light projection in the interior of an automotive vehicle. The method includes sensing, by at least one sensor, the presence of an object or person in the interior of the vehicle, wherein the sensor comprises a plurality of image sensing devices. A protection zone is defined by using the data of the at least one sensor, thus obtaining a three-dimensional protection zone. A first light pattern is projected with a first pattern zone by means of a first projector associated to a first image sensing device. A second light pattern is projected with a second pattern zone by means of a second projector associated to a second image sensing device, wherein the first pattern zone and/or the second pattern zone are projected over the protection zone and wherein the light pattern forms a projected image on an interior surface of the automotive vehicle.

Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with illumination module

A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element and an illumination module that includes an illumination source and a freeformed lens optic. When the illumination source is operated to emit light, emitted light passes through the freeformed lens optic. The freeformed lens optic is configured such that, with the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly mounted at a side of a vehicle, light emitted by the illumination source that passes through the freeformed lens optic provides ground lighting that illuminates a ground region located at the side of the equipped vehicle. The ground lighting includes (a) ground illumination of the illuminated ground region and (b) within the ground illumination of the illuminated ground region, a logo formed by the freeformed lens optic. The logo formed by the freeformed lens optic has a light intensity greater than any light intensity of the ground illumination of the illuminated ground region.

Illumination Device for a Motor Vehicle

An illumination device for a motor vehicle includes at least one light source and an elongated waveguide which is delimited along the length thereof by a lateral surface. The waveguide is configured to guide light from the at least one light source along a light propagation direction in a totally reflective manner, the light propagation direction corresponding to the length of the waveguide. The light of the at least one light source can be coupled into the waveguide via a coupling surface at an end face of the waveguide, and a decoupling structure is provided in the lateral surface of the waveguide for decoupling light, which exits the waveguide via an exit region of the lateral surface along the light propagation direction, thereby overriding the total reflection condition.

DEVICE FOR INDICATING LOCK STATUS OF A MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR

A device for indicating lock status of a motor vehicle door includes a door lock status indicator carried on a window of the motor vehicle door. A window for a motor vehicle includes a luminescent door lock status indicator, a luminescent turn signal indicator and a luminescent blind spot indicator.

Vehicle interior-dedicated light emitting device

The vehicle interior component includes a front surface side space and a slit. A light emitting part, which is disposed on a vehicle interior outer side with respect to at least one of the vehicle interior outer side end of the panel lower portion of the upper panel and the vehicle interior outer side end of the panel upper portion of the lower panel and emits light emitted obliquely upward toward an inside of a vehicle interior through the slit, is provided.

Display device for a motor vehicle

A display device includes a translucent windscreen, particularly the windscreen of a motor vehicle, a narrow-band light source that emits light into the windscreen via an edge thereof, and a periodic structure formed in the windscreen that bends the light from the light source toward the eye of a driver.
