Molded part and method for manufacturing such a molded part
A molded part comprises a decorative layer having a visible front side, a rear side, and a backing that is situated on the rear side of the decorative layer. The decorative layer comprises a decorative ply having a front side, a rear side that faces the backing, a light-conducting optical layer, situated between the front side of the decorative ply and the front side of the decorative layer, having a first refractive index. Situated in at least one symbol area of the decorative layer, between the decorative ply and the optical layer, is a transparent or translucent effect layer for displaying one or more symbols, and that has a second refractive index that is different from the first refractive index. The molded part includes a first light system for scattering light internally about the symbol, and a second light system for illuminating a front side of the symbol externally.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND VEHICLE
A display device and a vehicle are provided. The display device includes a first display panel, a second display panel and a light-emitting module. The first display panel includes a first side and a first light-receiving surface. The second display panel includes a second side and a second light-receiving surface. The first side is connected to the second side such that the first display panel and the second display panel form an including angle, and the first light-receiving surface and the second light-receiving surface form a light-emitting space. The light-emitting module is disposed corresponding to the light-emitting space. The light-emitting module emits an illuminating light into the light-emitting space such that a part of the illuminating light forms a first image through the first display panel, and another part of the illuminating light passes through the second display panel and is projected onto a display surface where it forms a second image.

A display device and a vehicle are provided. The display device includes a first display panel, a second display panel and a light-emitting module. The first display panel includes a first side and a first light-receiving surface. The second display panel includes a second side and a second light-receiving surface. The first side is connected to the second side such that the first display panel and the second display panel form an including angle, and the first light-receiving surface and the second light-receiving surface form a light-emitting space. The light-emitting module is disposed corresponding to the light-emitting space. The light-emitting module emits an illuminating light into the light-emitting space such that a part of the illuminating light forms a first image through the first display panel, and another part of the illuminating light passes through the second display panel and is projected onto a display surface where it forms a second image.

Semiconductor-based lighting device
A lighting device is provided that has a light source arrangement with a plurality of semiconductor-based light sources in the form of light-emitting diodes. The light sources are bundled or collimated such that they each emit light in differently directed light cones with adjacent light cones overlapping. The lighting device has an adjusting device for adjustment of the direction of illumination and an actuating circuit connected to the adjusting device. The adjusting device adjusts intermediate stages for which the light-emitting diodes of adjacent and overlapping light cones operate and with varying light intensity in such a way the focal point of the light field produced by the light-emitting diodes lies between the focal points of adjacent light cones.

A light guide for a light system of a vehicle and a method of forming the light guide are disclosed herein. The light system comprises the light guide, a light source proximate the guide, and a receiving feature coupled to the vehicle. The light guide comprises a core portion having a light transmissive body, a reflective portion, an absorptive portion, and an attachment feature. The reflective portion is disposed about the core portion along the length of the body. The absorptive portion is disposed about the reflective portion along the length of the reflective portion. The attachment feature extends outwardly from the absorptive portion and is configured to be engaged with the receiving feature coupled to the vehicle.
Vehicle lighting system, light guide, and method of making thereof
A light guide for a light system of a vehicle and a method of forming the light guide are disclosed herein. The light system comprises the light guide, a light source proximate the guide, and a receiving feature coupled to the vehicle. The light guide comprises a core portion having a light transmissive body, a reflective portion, an absorptive portion, and an attachment feature. The reflective portion is disposed about the core portion along the length of the body. The absorptive portion is disposed about the reflective portion along the length of the reflective portion. The attachment feature extends outwardly from the absorptive portion and is configured to be engaged with the receiving feature coupled to the vehicle.
TRANSPARENT ROOF ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE ROOF
A transparent roof assembly for a vehicle roof comprises a panel with a transparent area, a light source arranged to provide light into the panel and an out-coupling pattern arranged on the surface of the transparent area of the panel. The out-coupling pattern comprises dots of a light-redirecting material for out-coupling of light introduced into the panel and propagating in the panel, wherein the dots each have a representative diameter of 150 microns or less, preferably 80 microns or less and wherein a total dot surface area of the dots of the out-coupling pattern is smaller than 10% of a total surface area of the transparent area. Thus, the transparent area appears transparent during daytime looking from an interior of the vehicle to an exterior of the vehicle, while sufficient light is provided into the interior when the light source is switched on.
