Window mounted lighting assembly
A lighting assembly includes a circuit board substrate having first and second conductive traces, a light emitting electrical device, and a pair of electrical terminals interconnected to the light emitting electrical device by the first and second conductive traces. The pair of electrical terminals are configured to mechanically secure the lighting assembly to a pair of corresponding electrical terminals mounted on a panel. The pair of electrical terminals are further configured to electrically connect the light emitting electrical device to third and fourth conductive circuit traces disposed on a surface of the panel.
ILLUMINATED WINDOW ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
An illuminated window assembly that includes a glass substrate; a light barrier over the substrate having a reflective interior-facing and a tinted exterior-facing surface; a light-diffusing element over the barrier having first and second opposed edges; and an LED source or spaced LED sources configured to direct incident light into the first opposed edge. Further, a thickness of the element at the first opposed edge is greater than a thickness at the second opposed edge. The LED sources can also be directed into both the first and second opposed edges, wherein a thickness of the element at the first and the second opposed edge is greater than a thickness between the opposed edges.
Moodroof for augmented media experience in a vehicle cabin
In various embodiments, a moodroof media application provides media content into a vehicle cabin. In operation, the moodroof media application determines at least one state associated with the vehicle cabin based on sensor data from at least one sensor. The moodroof media application then receives media content associated with the at least one state. The moodroof media application further causes visual content associated with the media content to be displayed on at least one display surface positioned on a ceiling of the vehicle cabin.

LIGHT GUIDE PLATE AND TRANSPARENT ILLUMINATION SYSTEM UTILIZING THE SAME
A transparent illumination system and related light guide plate is provided. The system is configured to facilitate total internal reflection propagation of light through the light guide plate despite low index of refraction differences between the glass material of the light guide layer and the adjacent layer. The system includes a light source, such as a laser diode, and an optical element to fan out light from the light source in the plane of the light guide plate. The light guide plate includes internal light extraction features.
LIGHTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A lighting device for a vehicle includes a map lamp, left and right rear seat reading lamps, left and right trunk lightings, left and right rear gate lightings, and left and right rear pillar lightings. The map lamp, the left rear seat reading lamp, the left trunk lighting, the left rear gate lighting, and the left rear pillar lighting are disposed along a left connecting line. In addition, the map lamp, the right rear seat reading lamp, the right trunk lighting, the right rear gate lighting, and the right rear pillar lighting are disposed along a right connecting line. The left and right connecting lines extend such that a gap in a vehicle width direction is gradually reduced from a rear side of the vehicle toward a front side of the vehicle.
Protection device for a motor vehicle interior
Protection device for a motor vehicle interior having a flexible fabric which is displaceable along a guide direction between a compact, stored rest position and a protection position, outstretched flat at least in sections, a guide device fixed to the vehicle, in a mounted state, on which the flexible fabric is guided in a linear manner along the guide direction. At least one luminous element is provided which is associated with the flexible fabric and which emits light onto the flexible fabric in an operating state. At least one carrier element is provided, the luminous element being positively joined thereby to the guide device.
Illumination device and vehicle glass utilization method
A lighting device includes a light source configure to irradiate excitation light and a vehicle glass configured to emit visible light through incident radiation of the excitation light, in which the vehicle glass is configured to emit the visible light synchronously in an area of 30% or more by irradiation with the excitation light.

DRIVING AID SYSTEM
A system is disclosed that may selectively illuminate a first peripheral portion of a vehicle windshield from a plurality of peripheral portions. The first peripheral portion may correspond to part of a periphery of a first area portion of the windshield. The first area portion may be one of a plurality of area portions of the windshield. Further, the first area portion may be determined based on a substantial alignment with a driver's view of an object. Accordingly, a periphery portion of the windshield may be illuminated to draw the driver's attention to the object.
