ILLUMINATING DEVICE AND INTERIOR PART FOR A VEHICLE

An illuminating device for a vehicle includes a carrier module, a flat light guide attached to the carrier module with a plurality of emitting points, and multiple light sources for illuminating the light guide. The flat light guide is concealed with a translucent haptic layer, which is attached to a visible side of the light guide, which, in turn, is covered by a decorative layer. The illuminating device comprises a rope-like light guide, which has an inherent light source and is connected to the decorative layer via a retaining device. This therefore results in a flat arrangement, which can be easily integrated into the interior parts and simultaneously enables illumination over a large surface area. In doing so, additional light effects can be integrated by means of the rope-like light guide. The illuminating device is not visible while switched off, as the illuminating device is covered by the decorative layer.

The light guide member mounting member includes a support portion and a fitting portion that extends from the support portion and is fitted to the stopper hole. The support portion includes a curved wall that has a space defined by the curved wall and receives and supports a portion of the light guide member in the space to be opposite the through hole such that the light exits the light guide member is supplied to a vehicular interior surface side of the vehicular interior component.

The opening exposes a portion of the roof structure. The inner edge portion of the headliner is spaced apart from the lower surface portion of the vehicle roof structure such that a gap is defined between the vehicle roof structure and inner edge portion of the headliner. The light source is installed to the lower surface portion of the vehicle roof structure such that when the light source is illuminated, light is emitted through the gap between the vehicle roof structure and inner edge portion of the headliner.
