System for detecting surrounding conditions of moving body
This system for detecting the surrounding conditions of a moving body forcibly changes the state of at least one of a plurality of lighting devices (change from an unlit sate to a lighting state or a blinking state, change in the emission color, or change in the luminance) installed inside the moving body, if an object to which attention must be paid during traveling of the moving body is detected in the surroundings of the moving body.
Lighting Systems with Adjustable Interior Lighting
Lighting may be provided using light sources such as lighting systems with arrays of light-emitting diodes. A lighting system may be integrated into a seat, a door panel, a dashboard, or other interior portions of a system such as a vehicle. The interior portions of the vehicle may be illuminated using lighting systems to provide ambient light, to provide custom surface textures and other decorative patterns, to provide icons, text, and other information, and to provide custom gauges and other illuminated regions. Illuminated regions may overlap sensors such as capacitive touch sensors, force sensors, and other sensors. The light-emitting diodes in a lighting system may supply light that passes through openings in a cover layer. The layer may be formed from fabric, leather, or other materials. Lens structures may guide light through the openings.
COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A component for a vehicle interior configured for a module comprising a radiation source to administer a dose of radiation to an object may comprise a base comprising a compartment for the object; a cover moveable relative to the base from a closed position to an open position; and a platform configured to position the object for administration of the dose of radiation when the cover is in the closed position. The platform may move to position the object for access when the cover is in the open position. The radiation source may comprise a lower light source separated from an upper light source by the platform. The platform may move with the cover. The component may comprise a mechanism to facilitate movement of the platform. The component may comprise a storage compartment; glove box; floor console; overhead console; trim panel; and/or door panel.
Illumination unit and vehicle
An illumination unit for an interior chamber of a vehicle includes at least one light source integrated into a surface side of a sun shield facing towards an occupant in a non-usage position of the sun shield. The at least one light source emits light in the activated state which is directed towards the occupant. A covering element is provided for covering a light outlet surface of the light source.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A LIGHTING SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for controlling a lighting system of a motor vehicle including a generator for generating a pulse-width modulated signal having a first peak intensity or a second peak intensity higher than the first peak intensity, and a light source. The method includes reception of an instruction to emit a light beam according to a given target luminous flux, selection of a peak intensity from the first and second peak intensities depending on the given target luminous flux. Also included is determination of a target duty cycle of a pulse-width modulated signal having the selected peak intensity depending on the given target luminous flux and the efficiency of the light source, and generation of a target signal having the selected peak intensity and the determined target duty cycle and provision of the target signal to the light source.

VEHICLE LAMP ASSEMBLY HAVING AN ON/OFF SWITCH OPERATING PORTION
A vehicle lamp assembly includes a lamp finisher, a knob and a retainer. The lamp finisher defines an exterior housing for a light source of the vehicle lamp assembly. The knob is movable with respect to the lamp finisher to operate the light source between an ON state and an OFF state. The retainer is sandwiched between a portion of the lamp finisher and a portion of the knob. The knob is retained to the lamp finisher by the retainer.

VEHICLE TRIM PANEL HAVING A SWITCHING FUNCTION
Vehicle trim panel having a switching function comprising a decorative front panel which conceals a switching device having switching areas defined on the decorative front panel for controlling vehicle functions and a lighting device for backlighting said switching areas. Particularly the switching device comprises a sensor foil comprising a light transmitting film wherein several independent sensing areas are configured and an elastic rubber-like portion configured to be compressed between the back side of the decorative front panel and the front side of the light guide in order to keep the sensor foil in tight contact free of air-gaps with the back side of the decorative front panel. The elastic rubber-like portion comprises first attaching means to tightly and removably attach the sensor foil to either the light guide or to the decorative front panel.
