VEHICULAR OVERHEAD CONSOLE WITH LIGHT TRANSMISSIVE PANEL
A vehicular overhead console module includes a base portion configured to attach at an interior cabin portion of a vehicle. A light source is accommodated by the base portion and is electrically operable to emit light. A light transmitting panel is disposed at the base portion and includes an electrically dimmable medium. The electrically dimmable medium is adjustable at least between a first light transmission state, where the light transmitting panel has a first level of light transmissivity, and a second light transmission state, where the light transmitting panel has a second level of light transmissivity. The first level of light transmissivity is greater than the second level of light transmissivity. When the electrically dimmable medium is at the first light transmission state, light emitted by the light source passes through the light transmitting panel to illuminate at least a portion of an interior cabin of the vehicle.
Accent lighting systems for vehicles
An accent lighting system for a vehicle is disclosed that includes a light module and a transmitter. The light module includes a first inductive member and a diffuser that extends along a periphery of the light module so as to collect and distribute light generated by the light module. The transmitter includes a second inductive member that is configured for electromagnetic communication with the first inductive member so as to create current in the first inductive member and thereby power the light module.
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING SURROUNDING CONDITIONS OF MOVING BODY
This system for detecting the surrounding conditions of a moving body forcibly changes the state of at least one of a plurality of lighting devices (change from an unlit state to a lighting state or a blinking state, change in the emission color, or change in the luminance) installed inside the moving body, if an object to which attention must be paid during traveling of the moving body is detected in the surroundings of the moving body.

OPERATION APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
An operation apparatus for a vehicle is proposed. The operation apparatus includes an operation module capable of moving between a first position and a second position through an opening of a panel provided in the vehicle, and a drive unit that moves the operation module. The drive unit may move the operation module from the first position to the second position to make a button of the operation module conspicuously protrude from a surface of the panel, and may rotate the operation module so that an angle of the button of the operation module can be adjusted to allow a user to conveniently operate the button.

MOTION GESTURE SENSING DEVICE AND VEHICLE-MOUNTED UNIT MANIPULATION SYSTEM HAVING SAME
A motion gesture sensing device and a vehicle-mounted unit manipulation system to which the motion gesture sensing device is applied are proposed, in which a sensing space is formed with an electric field and a change in the electric field according to a motion gesture of an occupant in the sensing space is recognized so as to operate respective functions of vehicle-mounted units.
VEHICULAR REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH SYSTEM STATUS INDICATOR
A vehicular rear window assembly includes a fixed window panel and an indicating device having a plurality of light sources. The vehicular rear window assembly is configured to be disposed at a rear portion of a cabin of a vehicle. The indicating device is disposed at the fixed window panel. With the vehicular rear window assembly disposed at the rear portion of the cabin of the vehicle, the light sources, when electrically powered to emit light, emit light that is visible through the window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the vehicular rear window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle. The indicating device is operated responsive to at least one system of the vehicle. Responsive to an output of the at least one system, the indicating device adjusts operation of the light sources to indicate a status of the at least one system.
Vehicle lamp assembly having an on/off switch operating portion
A vehicle lamp assembly includes a lamp finisher, a knob and a retainer. The lamp finisher defines an exterior housing for a light source of the vehicle lamp assembly. The knob is movable with respect to the lamp finisher to operate the light source between an ON state and an OFF state. The retainer is sandwiched between a portion of the lamp finisher and a portion of the knob. The knob is retained to the lamp finisher by the retainer.
