A rear-road surface illumination apparatus is provided which includes: an avoidance determiner 30 to determine whether to provide a display to induce a following vehicle to avoid a vehicle, on the basis of vehicle information; and a controller 9 to cause an illumination light 10 to illuminate a rear road surface with light having illumination information that induces the following vehicle to avoid the vehicle when the avoidance determiner 30 determines to provide a display to induce the following vehicle to avoid the vehicle. A vehicle lighting system includes: a lighting device that emits a first light and a second light to a periphery of an own vehicle, the second light having a higher directivity than the first light; a camera to acquire image information; a detector to emit an electromagnetic wave and acquire a reflection wave; and an electronic control unit configured to detect a physical body using the image information, detect the physical body using information of the reflection wave, control the lighting device such that the first light is emitted to the physical body detected by the reflection wave, determine whether the physical body detected using the image information in a state where the first light is being emitted is an target object, and control the lighting device such that the lighting device emits the second light toward a predetermined range around the target object.
ADVANCED WARNING AND RISK EVASION SYSTEM AND METHOD
This invention relates in general to the field of safety devices, and more particularly, but not by way of limitation, to systems and methods for providing advanced warning and risk evasion when hazardous conditions exist. In one embodiment, a vicinity monitoring unit is provided for monitoring, for example, oncoming traffic near a construction zone. In some embodiments, the vicinity monitoring unit may be mounted onto a construction vehicle to monitor nearby traffic and send a warning signal if hazardous conditions exist. In some embodiments, personnel tracking units may be worn by construction workers and the personnel tracking units may be in communication with the vicinity monitoring unit. In some embodiments, a base station is provided for monitoring activities taking place in or near a construction site including monitoring the locations of various personnel and vehicles within the construction site.

According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a hardware processor. The hardware processor is configured to acquire a previous output message from a moving object; acquire surrounding information of the moving object; detect motion information indicating a motion of an object as a destination of the message based on the surrounding information; determine whether the motion of the object indicated by the motion information corresponds to a motion indicated by the message; and update the message based on the motion information when the motion of the object indicated by the motion information is determined not to correspond to the motion indicated by the message.

Systems and methods to augment audio output in an electric vehicle (EV) include obtaining inputs from one or more sensors. The inputs include information about the EV and about one or more persons outside the EV. A current scenario is defined based on the inputs. Whether the current scenario matches a predefined scenario among a set of predefined scenarios is determined, and augmented audio output is produced according to the predefined scenario.
