A vehicle sound generation device includes a sound control circuit that sets one or more frequencies according to a number of revolutions of the rotary power source, and generates a synthetic sound signal representing a synthetic sound including one or more element sounds having the one or more frequencies. The sound control circuit sets the synthetic sound so that a sound pressure of the synthetic sound includes a reference sound pressure component and a variable sound pressure component. A magnitude of the reference sound pressure component increases as the number of revolutions of the rotary power source increases, and a magnitude of the variable sound pressure component varies within a predetermined amplitude with a period of a predetermined increase amount of the number of revolutions as the number of revolutions of the rotary power source increases.

A connected vehicle configured to detect presence of people near the connected vehicle via one or more proximity sensors is disclosed. The connected vehicle may be configured to reproduce one or more audio advertisements via external displays and/or external speakers of the connected vehicle. The one or more advertisements may be reproduced in such a way that the one or more advertisements reproduced may provide the people with an alert message informing them of the presence of the connected vehicle, in place of imaginary engine sounds, for safety of people outside the connected vehicle.

A vehicle includes: a housing; a passive radiator disposed on a rear surface of the housing; an active speaker disposed on a front surface of the housing and configured to output a virtual engine sound; a partition wall disposed inside the housing such that one side is in contact with the left side surface of the housing and the other side is in contact with the right side surface of the housing; a driver configured to move and rotate the partition wall; and a controller configured to control the driver based on at least one of a transmission position of the vehicle and a speed of the vehicle.

An apparatus and a method for generating a sound of an electrification vehicle are provided. The apparatus comprises a detection device configured to detect state information of a vehicle, a sound output device configured to play and output a virtual sound, and a processing device connected with the detection device and the sound output device. The processing device configured to detect a cornering state of the vehicle based on state information of the vehicle, analyze a longitudinal force, a lateral force, a tire slip ratio, and a tire slip angle according to the cornering state, calculate a cornering force based on the analyzed results, calculate a contact force based on a tire ground surface and road surface profile based on big data, generate a tire slip sound based on the cornering force and the contact force, and control the sound output device to play the tire slip sound.

By way of example, novel systems and methods for reproducing advertisements on connected vehicles are disclosed. In one example embodiment, a system of connected vehicles parked near in a parking lot and each delivers advertisement and participates in an advertisement event. Each of the connected vehicles is configured to reproduce one or more advertisements when one of the connected vehicles is determined to receive a signal from a remote controller associated with the one of the connected vehicles.

The present disclosure relates to a pedestrian alert device for an electric vehicle, comprising an accelerator pedal mechanism, a controller, and a sound producing mechanism. The controller is electrically connected to the accelerator pedal mechanism and the sound producing mechanism respectively, and is disposed on the accelerator pedal mechanism. The accelerator pedal mechanism comprises an installation box, an installation base fixedly connected to the installation box, and an accelerator pedal disposed on the installation base, the installation box has a chamber, and the controller is disposed in the chamber of the installation box. The controller is electrically connected to the sound producing mechanism by a wire, and the installation box is provided with a through-hole for the wire to pass through. The pedestrian alert device for an electric vehicle has low cost and a compact structure.

A signal processing device includes: a processor; and a memory having instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the signal processing device to perform operations. The operations include performing a modulation processing of modulating a sound signal by using a modulation parameter based on an interaural phase difference at a listening position of the sound signal.

An apparatus and method for controlling a vehicle sound may include a storage configured to store a user-optimized volume value set by a driver and a processor calculating a first sound according to a vehicle speed when a vehicle is driving, a second sound according to braking, and a third sound according to a vehicle status during turning of the vehicle based on the stored volume value and to mix and output at least one of the first to third sounds.

A vehicle approach notifying device for notifying the approach of a vehicle by causing a loudspeaker to output a warning sound includes: a storage that stores a predetermined threshold of sound pressure; and a controller that: (i) causes a loudspeaker disposed outside a cabin of the vehicle to output the warning sound at a first sound pressure determined in accordance with a speed of the vehicle when a sound pressure of the warning sound acquired by a microphone disposed outside the vehicle is less than or equal to the predetermined threshold; and (ii) causes the loudspeaker to output the warning sound at a sound pressure lower than the first sound pressure when the sound pressure of the warning sound acquired by the microphone exceeds the predetermined threshold.

A virtual sound generation apparatus is provided. The virtual sound generation apparatus includes a first sensor configured to obtain biometric information about a passenger, an output device configured to output a virtual sound, and a processor electrically connected with the first sensor and the output device. The processor is configured to determine driving sensibility for the passenger based on electroencephalogram (EEG) obtained by the first sensor, generate an effect signal for guiding the passenger to be stimulated depending on the driving sensibility, and control the output of the virtual sound based on the effect signal.
