Neuromuscular training apparatus and method
11376465 · 2022-07-05 ·

An apparatus and method for automating neuromuscular training may be used in conjunction with a human trainer or by a person training alone. The apparatus and method may be applied to various forms of neuromuscular training. The apparatus may be employed by a person desiring training in an environment with a human trainer as well as, or alternatively, in a home environment for personal training. Embodiments enable training of relative motions between body parts such as the head, neck, shoulders, upper torso, lower torso. These relative motions may be linear and/or angular. Pressure/sensor assemblies facilitate both the suggestion of desired motions as well as sensing of the person's neuromuscular response to these suggestions.

Portable barre exercise device
11389684 · 2022-07-19 ·

A barre exercise device providing balance support for a user during exercise may include a horizontal barre exercise bar and a pair of brackets. The horizontal barre exercise bar is elevated above a floor surface by supporting structure in contact with the floor surface. The pair of brackets is attached to the supporting structure. Each bracket of the pair of brackets is adapted to support one or more hand weights therein. The device is lightweight yet structurally configured so as to support a user's entire weight thereon.

Push-up exercise device
11406868 · 2022-08-09 ·

A push-up exercise device enables the benefits of a bodyweight exercise with a flexibility—and a level of granularity—in body angle typically reserved for machine-based exercises. Here, a push-up exercise device includes a base, a post that extends from the base, and a handle that is slidably attached to the post. The handle is configured to move continuously to locations along the vertical length of the post. And when in position, the handle can engage the post to hold the user's bodyweight. The ability to dial-in handle heights to very granular positions and the ability to set these heights independently of one another provides a significant level of variation in the muscles that are impacted when performing push-ups. This variation may provide for greater push-up effectiveness.

Exercise device

An exercise device that may be used to perform a complete exercise routine. In some implementations, the device includes three block members. A first block may be in the form of a modified rectangular prism. Sides of the first block may have cutouts extending downwardly from the top of the block for receiving a user's feet or elbows for exercises. A portion of the front side of the first block may slope inwardly toward the bottom of the block, and a portion of the top may slope inwardly toward the front side. At the junction of the top and front sides, a rectangular notch may be provided for cradling a user's upper arm or lower leg for exercises. A second block may be in the form of a rectangular prism, and may be joined to the first block for use in some exercises. A third block may be in the form of a truncated triangular prism, and may be positioned between the first block and the ground to tilt and/or stabilize the first block during some exercises. The sides of some of the blocks may incorporate a surface feature to enable the blocks to interlock with each other.

Mechanical Apparatus for Human Balance Training
20220241650 · 2022-08-04 ·

A mechanical apparatus for human balance training includes a cross bar whose center is attached to a pivotable protrusion extending from a leg having a base. The apparatus also includes a slidable sheath surrounding a portion of the leg proximate to the pivotable protrusion. The slidable sheath has a plurality of allowed positions relative to the leg, each position limiting tilt of the cross bar to a respective angular range. In some embodiments, each allowed position limits tilt of the cross bar by controlling an extent by which the pivotable protrusion extends out from the sheath. In some embodiments, the sheath is threaded relative to the leg and the allowed positions are a continuous range adjusted by twisting the sheath relative to the leg. In some embodiments, the allowed positions are predefined locking positions. Each locking position limits tilt of the cross bar to a respective predefined angular range.

Folding exercise rack system

A folding exercise rack system which may be both adjusted with respect to a wall and adjusted between a folded position for storage and an extended position for use. The folding exercise rack system generally includes an exercise rack that is both adjustable with respect to the wall and foldable between extended and retracted positions. The exercise rack generally includes a pair of inner support members which are adjustably connected to the wall, and a pair of outer support members which are adjustable between an extended position and a retracted (e.g., folded) position. In the extended position, the outer support members are distally spaced away from the inner support members and wall. In the retracted position, the outer support members are positioned adjacent to the wall.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXERCISING CALF AND THIGH MUSCLES
20220273982 · 2022-09-01 ·

An exercise step and method of exercising a user's legs is disclosed. The exercise step includes a main body which has a substantially planar and horizontally oriented upper wall and a sloped wall extending from bottommost surface of the exercise step to the upper wall. In use, a user steps on the sloped wall with a heel portion of his or her foot and raises the heel portion such that a sole portion of his or her foot is supported by the upper wall.

Exercise Bench Add-On Apparatus
20220314059 · 2022-10-06 ·

The present invention relates to an exercise bench attachment that is secured to a workout bench surface via a multi-stick backing. The exercise bench attachment assists with performing chest exercises. The attachment includes shoulder grooves or openings on either sides of a spinal cord supporting portion for accommodating shoulder blades of a user lying in a supine position with the bench attachment secured between the user's neck and back, and the bench surface. The shoulder openings enable free movement of shoulder blades when performing chest exercises of moving barbells, dumbbells, or weights away and towards the chest. The device includes a neck support for providing cushion to the neck of the user. The attachment supports the back and spine, but enhances clearance and space for the shoulder blades to enable the scapula to move unrestricted.

EXERCISE APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING A GLUTEAL BRIDGE MOVEMENT
20220080257 · 2022-03-17 ·

The present disclosure provides an exercise apparatus designed to allow a user to perform a gluteal bridge, typically with resistance, to improve the strength of the user's posterior hip and gluteal muscles. The exercise apparatus is configurable for use in different environments—in a gym, fitness center or training facility, a spa or studio, or a home gym. The exercise apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bench assembly, and a resistance assembly. The bench assembly is pivotally connected to the frame assembly to provide an elevated pivot point about which the bench assembly pivots when the user performs the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly is operably connected to the bench assembly and provides a resistance force that the user overcomes in order to pivotally move the bench through the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly can include a cable, pulley and weight stack, or an elastically deformable band.

FITNESS TRAINING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
