MULTI-FUNCTIONAL EXERCISE SYSTEM WITH VARIABLE RESISTANCE
Embodiments for a multi-functional exercise system with variable resistance are provided. The system includes a base plate such as an exercise plate weight, cover plates, omnidirectional wheels, a protective skirt frame, and various attachment adapters. These are structured such that the top cover plate is attached to a top face of the base plate and a bottom cover plate is attached to a bottom face of the base plate, the omnidirectional wheels and protective skirt frame are attached to the bottom cover plate, and the attachment adapters are fastened to a central aperture defined by the base plate. The described embodiments allow a user to use this exemplary system to perform multiple exercises with various attachments.
Linkage structure of reluctance unit and brake unit and exercise machine having linkage structure
A linkage structure of a reluctance unit and a brake unit and an exercise machine having the linkage structure are provided. The exercise machine includes a main body, having a resistance wheel and a control unit; a linkage member, connected with the control unit; a reluctance unit, corresponding to the resistance wheel and connected with the linkage member; and a brake unit, corresponding to the resistance wheel and connected with the linkage member. The control unit controls the motion of the linkage member so that the linkage member drives the reluctance unit to move between a reluctance position and a release position, and the linkage member drives the brake unit to move between a brake release position and a brake position.
Exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus comprising: a foot support, a user interface that includes a visual display, the foot support being movable by the user on the frame back and forth through any one of a plurality of complete, reproducible and different arc segments of a master arcuate path, the foot support being interconnected to a selection device that enables the user to select any one of the plurality of arc segments, one or more detectors adapted to detect one or more of force, energy or power exerted by the user over time on the foot support or distance or velocity of travel of the foot support or resistance assembly during the course of the user's performance of all or a portion of an exercise cycle, the visual display displaying a visually recognizable format of one or more of the force, energy, power, distance, time or velocity.
RESISTANCE KICKBOARD ATTACHMENT
A resistance kickboard attachment is disclosed. When attached to a kickboard, the resistance kickboard attachment adds resistance while swimming with the kickboard. The resistance kickboard attachment includes a resistance pocket, with variable resistance provided by an adjustment of a rear aperture of the resistance pocket. The resistance kickboard attachment attaches to the kickboard with a transverse and a longitudinal strap. The transverse strap includes an adjustment on either side of the longitudinal strap which allows the longitudinal strap to be centered on the kickboard.
Gym cage
An exercise apparatus has at least one vertical wall structure, a floor and a ceiling forming a cage that can be square, rectangular, circular, oval or another suitable configuration. An arrangement of strategically placed attachment points on the wall structure, floor and ceiling enables easy attachment and detachment of a variety of resistance devices (e.g., a handheld and/or inline cable operated resistance creation device, or a stretch band resistance device) to any of the vertical and/or horizontal structures within the gym cage, thereby providing a nearly 360 degree dimensional point of resistance to perform a wide variety of exercises for different muscle groups and subgroups of the body. In one embodiment, the cage includes an arrangement of spaced apart vertical and horizontal frame members forming a rear wall and opposite side walls.
Bar-bell design with rotatable hand grips
A weight lifting apparatus is provided and includes a pair of weight supports, a pair of handle assemblies coupled to the pair of weight supports, and a central bar interposed between each handle assembly of the pair of handle assemblies. The central bar is coupled to each handle assembly. Each handle assembly includes a handle housing, a grip that is rotatably supported within the handle housing, and a ratchet pawl. The ratchet pawl is selectively manipulatable from a first position that inhibits rotation of the grip relative to the handle housing to a second position that permits rotation of the grip relative to the handle housing.
EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device having rounded ends of differing radii.
Cable exercise device and method
A cable exercise device includes a vertically movable weight stack, a rotatable spool assembly, first and second cables, and a movable exercise implement. The rotatable spool assembly is located proximate the weight stack, and comprises spaced apart large and small cable spools affixed to a common rotatable spool shaft. The first cable has a terminal end attached to the weight stack and a winding end attached to the small cable spool. The second cable has a winding end attached to the large cable spool, and extends from the large cable spool to a terminal end. The movable exercise implement is secured to the cable exercise device by the terminal end of the second cable, and is adapted for being employed by a user performing an exercise.
Exercise Band
This invention is directed toward an exercise band that is circular in shape, defining a central cavity with a diameter sufficient to allow average people to insert their legs into the cavity, and push in an outward direction to exercise the gluteus muscle groups. The exercise band has an inner core of a resiliently stretchable material, and an outer cover made from a material that is easily washed, to remove the sweat of the user. The connection of the two ends of the invention is accomplished through a three-fold sew-based connection. The band provides a simple, small, easily transported and stored exercise device for standing, sitting, squatting and prone exercises. Several of these bands, each with a different degree of resistance, can be combined in a set, allowing people to work up to ever-increasingly more resistant bands without having to adapt to a new shape of band.
