VEHICLE ALERT DEVICE, VEHICLE ALERT METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
The disclosure provides a vehicle alert device, a vehicle alert method and a computer-readable recording medium. The vehicle alert device includes: a detection portion for detecting an alert target vehicle among road participants around the present vehicle to obtain a detection result; an information display portion, which is disposed on a pair of rearview mirrors of the present vehicle; a control portion, which controls the information display portion to display a predetermined pattern on the information display portion when it is determined based on the detection result that the driver can see the alert target vehicle, so that the predetermined pattern is superimposed on the alert target vehicle displayed on the pair of rearview mirrors.
Voice-activated vanity mirror
A mirror assembly can include a housing, a mirror, and a light source. In certain embodiments, the mirror is rotatable within a support portion of the mirror assembly. In some embodiments, the mirror assembly is configured to use an audio sensor or an audio signal derived from an audio sensor, such as an audio sensor or audio signal configured to sense or to correspond to or to represent one or more voice commands or other sounds (e.g., clapping, snapping, or otherwise) received from a user, in order to actuate or adjust any of one or more features or settings of the mirror assembly.
Interior rearview mirror assembly with display and tilt mechanism
A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a display device disposed in the mirror head and behind a reflective element. An actuator is operable to adjust the mirror head between a mirror mode orientation and a display mode orientation. Operation of the actuator moves a cam follower to cause a pin at the mirror head to travel along the groove to adjust orientation of the mirror head. With the mirror head in the mirror mode orientation, a first voltage is applied to adjust the mirror head out of the mirror mode orientation. A second voltage that is lower than the first voltage is then applied to adjust the mirror head toward the display mode orientation. A third voltage that is higher than the second voltage is then applied to adjust the mirror head into the display mode orientation.
3 PIECE BASE COVER, REAR VIEW DEVICE, VEHICLE AND ASSEMBLING AND DIS-ASSEMBLING METHOD
The present disclosure refers to a base assembly of an exterior rear view device. The base assembly is configured to be mounted to a vehicle in a way that moveably supports a head assembly of the exterior rearview device. The base assembly comprises: a camera with a lens, a cleaning system with a nozzle for dispensing cleaning fluid onto the lens, a base frame, a base cover that comprises a plurality of cover pieces, and a camera cradle. The cover pieces provide a first opening for the lens and a second opening for the nozzle. The camera cradle is mounted to the base frame for holding both the camera and the nozzle.
Add-On Alert Display For A Vehicle
The invention relates to an add-on display configured for attachment to a contour frame of a side-mirror of a vehicle and to provide visual awareness, safety or alert signals, comprising at least partially flexible casing, said casing comprising: (a) a partition wall separating between a front portion and a rear portion of the casing; (b) said front portion comprising one or more sections along a longitudinal axis of the casing, at least one of the sections is configured to contain at least one Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) that issues said visual signals; (c) a connecting piece in between any two adjacent sections, if more than one exists, said connecting piece comprising at least a first opening at its bottom; and (d) at least one attachment surface configured for attachment to a surface of said contour frame the side-mirror of the vehicle.
VEHICULAR IMAGING SYSTEM WITH EXTENDABLE CAMERA
A vehicular camera monitoring system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) at a vehicle and a support arm movably disposed at a side portion of the vehicle, with the support arm having a base end attached at the side portion of the vehicle and a distal end opposite the base end. A camera is disposed at the distal end of the support arm. The support arm is movable between a stowed position and an extended position. A cover element covers an aperture at the side portion at least when the support arm is in the extended position. The camera, when the support arm is in the extended position, captures image data and provides captured image data to the ECU, which processes the provided image data for (i) display of video images derived from provided image data and/or (ii) detection of an object in the field of view of the camera.
REARVIEW ASSEMBLY
A rearview assembly is disclosed. The rearview assembly may comprise: a housing and a display. The housing may be operable to me mounted to a vehicle. More specifically, the housing may be mounted to the vehicle interior. The display may be associated with the housing. Additionally, the display may have a first region and a second region. The first region may be substantially aligned with the housing. The second region may extend substantially beyond the housing. In some embodiments, the display may be a substantially transparent OLED display.
Blind Spot Warning Method and System for a Motor Vehicle Having a Trailer Coupled Thereto
A blind spot warning method is disclosed for a tow vehicle. The method includes determining whether a trailer is connected to the tow vehicle. Based on the determination whether the trailer is connected to the tow vehicle, the determines whether a blind spot zone corresponds to the tow vehicle or to the tow vehicle and the trailer. At least one instruction is sent to a user interface of the tow vehicle for displaying an image for viewing by a driver of the tow vehicle. The displayed image indicates the determination whether the blind spot zone corresponds to the tow vehicle or to the tow vehicle and the trailer, and indicates a presence or absence of at least one other vehicle disposed in the blind spot zone.
IMAGING APPARATUS AND IMAGING SYSTEM
An imaging apparatus is disclosed. The imaging apparatus includes an imaging element and an optical system. On the imaging element, a plurality of pixels is arranged in a two-dimensional manner. The imaging element generates image data on the basis of output of the plurality of pixels. The optical system forms, on an imaging plane of the imaging element, an image of light from a field at a magnification factor varying with a field angle. An optical axis of the optical system on the imaging plane is positioned away from a center of the imaging plane.
MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING A DISPLAY SYSTEM AND AN OPERATING SYSTEM FOR SAME
A motor vehicle includes a display system having an image source positioned in a dashboard of the motor vehicle for emitting light beams. A reflection region extends in parallel to a lateral edge of a pane layer of a windshield of the motor vehicle. The reflection region is configured to reflect the light beams to generate a virtual image and the image source includes a one-dimensional switchable strip display. A controller of the motor vehicle is configured to provide, by using the one-dimensional switchable strip display corresponding to the virtual image, at least one of a dynamic running light and a static light strip.
