SYSTEM AND METHOD OF NOTIFYING AN OWNER OF A LOST ITEM IN A VEHICLE
A method of notifying an owner of a lost item in a vehicle having a vehicle compartment is provided. The method comprises providing at least one sensor to sense the lost item in the vehicle compartment. The method further comprises sensing the lost item on a point relative to a spherical coordinate system to define a sensed item data and determining a position of the lost item in cartesian coordinates based on the sensed item data to define a position data. The method further comprises translating the sensed item data and the position data for visualization of the lost item to define an item image of the lost item relative to the vehicle compartment, and updating an inventory list of lost objects to include the lost item with the item image. The method further comprises identifying the owner of the lost item by way of a perception algorithm, providing notification to the owner of the lost item, and providing viewable access of the item image such that the image is viewed by the owner of the lost item.
VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM WITH EVENT CAMERA
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an event camera disposed in a cabin of a vehicle and viewing the head of a driver of the vehicle. The dynamic range of the event camera is at least 100 dB. The response time of the event camera is less than 10,000 microseconds. The event camera has a quantum efficiency of at least 15% for near-infrared light having a wavelength of 940 nm. The system, responsive to processing of data output by the event camera, monitors the driver of the vehicle. Responsive at least in part (a) to monitoring of the driver of the vehicle and (b) to vehicle kinematic data provided to the ECU, at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) a driver attentiveness alert is generated, (ii) a driver drowsiness alert is generated, (iii) steering of the vehicle is controlled and (iv) braking of the vehicle is controlled.

VEHICLE INTERIOR MONITORING SYSTEM
A vehicle interior monitoring system monitors the behavior of a passenger, based on the image of the interior of the vehicle, captured on a camera. A masking unit of the processor masks a portion of the image captured on the camera, the portion corresponding to the outside of the vehicle.

VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CABIN INSIDE-OUTSIDE MONITORING SYSTEM
A first motor is driven to move a camera configured to image an area (imaging area A) in front of a vehicle such that a vehicle cabin inside (imaging area C) is imageable, and a second motor is driven to move a camera configured to image an area (imaging area B) behind the vehicle such that a vehicle cabin inside (imaging area D) is imageable. The swing of the cameras by the motors enables imaging of the vehicle cabin inside with the cameras configured to image the vehicle cabin outside. For this reason, there is no need to prepare a camera that images the vehicle cabin inside, separately from the camera that images the vehicle cabin outside, and thus, it is possible to reduce cost as much.
Garbage truck camera and safety system
A garbage truck camera and safety system includes a garbage truck having a lift arm mechanism, a hopper, and a trash compacting device disposed within the hopper. At least one camera and temperature sensor are disposed within the hopper. A control module is operably connected to the cameras and the temperature sensor, as well as to one or more vehicle systems, via a vehicle control interface disposed within the driver's cab. The control module includes a processor, a non-transitory computer readable medium operatively connected to the processor, and a logic stored in the non-transitory computer readable medium that, when executed by the processor, causes the system to detect, via the temperature sensor, the temperature within the hopper; and if the temperature detected is above a predetermined threshold temperature, then deactivating the trash compacting device. The system will prevent harm from being done to individuals who accidentally fall into the hopper.

Vehicular cabin monitoring camera system with dual function
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes a camera disposed at a vehicle and viewing at least a head region of a driver of the vehicle. Image data captured by the camera is provided to an electronic control unit (ECU) and is processed at the ECU for determining attentiveness of the driver. The vehicular driver monitoring system, responsive to selection by the driver of a video-conference function, initiates a video conference telecommunication whereby video image data derived from the provided captured image data is wirelessly communicated to an external receiver that is located remote from the vehicle for viewing by another person communicating with the driver of the vehicle via the external receiver. Communication data generated at the external receiver is wirelessly communicated to the vehicular driver monitoring system.
