Light source unit and movable body
A light source unit includes a substrate and a light source. The light source is mounted on the substrate. At least one sensor is configured to detect the infrared light. The at least one sensor detects a wavelength component of the infrared light in a range of wavelengths from 920 nm to 960 nm better than a wavelength component of the infrared light out of the range. The light source device emits the infrared light having a peak wavelength smaller than 920 nm when the light source has a temperature of 25 C. or lower. The peak wavelength of the infrared light emitted from the light source device increases as the temperature of the light source increases from the temperature of 25 C.
SEMITRAILER COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM
Implementations of a semitrailer collision avoidance system are provided. In some implementations, the semitrailer collision avoidance system comprises a camera system and an application, such as a mobile application or a software application, for interfacing with the camera system using a computing device, such as a portable smart phone/device or a semi/non-portable video monitor device.
In some implementations, an example method of using the semitrailer collision avoidance system comprises attaching the camera system to a semitrailer, pairing the camera system and the computing device using the application, and monitoring one or more areas adjacent to the semitrailer with the camera system using the application on the computing device to avoid a collision or other accident of the semitrailer.
MODULAR NIGHT VISION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
Present invention discloses a night vision system for a vehicle and method of installation for the night vision system on the vehicle. The night vision system includes a mount, a night vision device detachably mountable on the vehicle using the mount. The night vision device is mounted pointing over a road for detecting one or more objects present on and alongside the road. The system further includes a display device configurable within an interior region of the vehicle for displaying a video stream received from the night vision device to a user driving the vehicle. The display device is configured to embody a program product for enabling the display device to receive, process and display the received video stream on the display device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ANIMAL DETECTION AND WARNING DURING VEHICLE START UP
One general aspect includes a method of animal detection and warning, the method including: detecting, via a processor, a presence of an animal in an area beneath a vehicle; and when the presence of an animal is detected in the area beneath the vehicle, warning, via the processor, the animal to vacate the area beneath the vehicle. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding computer systems, apparatus, and computer programs recorded on one or more computer storage devices, each configured to perform the actions of the methods.
VEHICLE IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A PARKING SOLUTION
A vehicle imaging system and method for providing a user with an easy to use vehicle parking solution that displays an integrated and intuitive backup camera view, such as a first-person composite camera view. The first-person composite camera view may include composite image data from a plurality of cameras mounted around the vehicle that has been joined or stitched together, as well as augmented graphics with computer-generated simulations of parts of the vehicle that provide the user with intuitive information concerning the point-of-view being displayed. The point-of-view of the first-person composite camera view is that of an observer located within the vehicle, and is designed to emulate the point-of-view of a driver. It is also possible to provide a direction indicator that allows the user to engage a touch screen display and manually change the direction of the first-person composite camera view so that the user can intuitively explore the vehicle surroundings.
REPLACEMENT MIRROR SYSTEM WITH IR LED OVERHEATING MANAGEMENT
A camera mirror system for a vehicle includes, among other things, a camera that has a field of view, a display in communication with the camera that is configured to depict the field of view, and an infrared light-emitting diode (IR LED) that is configured to illuminate the field of view. The IR LED is configured to operate at a temperature. The system further includes a controller that is configured to provide at least one of a warning or an IR LED shut down command in response to the temperature exceeding a threshold.
Rear facing lane detection overlay
A rearward lane display system includes an image sensor configured to capture one or more images including lane markers forward of a vehicle, one or more display mirrors, and a processor in communication with the image sensor and the display mirrors, where the processor is configured to process the one or more images to predict where the lane markers will appear rearward of the vehicle, and display representations of the predicted lane markers in the one or more display mirrors.
ACTIVE INFRARED ILLUMINATION FOR ENHANCING REAR VISION FROM A VEHICLE
An imaging assembly for use in a vehicle is disclosed. The imaging assembly may include an image sensor configured to capture image data and an electro-optic element configured to selectively control a range of wavelengths corresponding to light in a near infrared (NIR) range of light entering the image sensor. The electro-optic element may include a first portion configured to absorb the range of wavelengths entering the image sensor and a second portion configured to absorb the range of wavelengths entering the image sensor in a first state and to transmit the range of wavelengths entering the image sensor in a second state. The second portion may be electrically isolated from the first portion. A controller may be in communication with the image sensor and the electro-optic element. The controller may be operable to switch the second portion between the first state and the second state.
Vehicle surroundings monitoring apparatus
When each of a right IR projector and a left IR projector has been set to an IR OFF state and a final radiation ON condition becomes satisfied, a PVM-ECU sets each of the right IR projector and the left IR projector to an IR ON state. When each of the right IR projector and the left IR projector has been set to the IR ON state and a final radiation ON condition becomes satisfied, the PVM-ECU sets each of the right IR projector and the left IR projector to the IR ON state.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL VEHICLE PATH GUIDELINES
System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to aiding a user navigating a vehicle by displaying on a display device, a view of a front or rear of the vehicle with three-dimensional guideline walls overlaying the view. In one embodiment, a method includes, acquiring data that specifies a steering angle for the vehicle. The method includes determining, based on the steering angle data, a left three-dimensional guideline wall and a right three-dimensional guideline wall that together identify a potential path of travel for the vehicle. Each three-dimensional guideline wall has a height based at least on a height of a portion of the vehicle, and wherein the left and right three-dimensional guideline walls have a distance therebetween based at least on a width of the vehicle.
