METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OIL LEAK DETERMINATION AND/OR MITIGATION
Methods and systems are provided for a dual function imaging device. In one example, a method may comprise imaging exhaust gas outside of a reverse engine condition via the imaging device. The imaging device may image a surrounding area during the reverse engine condition.
Method and apparatus for detecting a pedestrian by a vehicle during night driving
A method and an apparatus for detecting a pedestrian by a vehicle during night driving are provided, in which the apparatus includes: a first camera configured to take a first image including color information of a vicinity of the vehicle during night driving; a second camera configured to take a second image including thermal distribution information of the vicinity of the vehicle; a pedestrian detector configured to detect a non-pedestrian area by using the color information from the first image and detect a pedestrian area by excluding the non-pedestrian area from the second image; and a display configured to match and display the pedestrian area on the second image.
Vehicular camera monitoring system
A vehicular camera monitoring system a driver-side camera, a driver-side video display screen disposed at a driver-side cabin region of an interior cabin of the vehicle, a passenger-side camera and a passenger-side video display screen disposed at a passenger-side cabin region of the interior cabin of the vehicle. Upon completion of a parking maneuver of the vehicle, and until a period of time elapses following powering down of the vehicle upon completion of the parking maneuver of the vehicle, the driver-side video display screen displays driver-side video images of a driver-side region sideward of the driver side of the vehicle and rearward of the vehicle and the passenger-side video display screen displays passenger-side video images of a passenger-side region sideward of the passenger side of the vehicle and rearward of the vehicle.
OBSTACLE WARNING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
An obstacle warning apparatus for vehicle is provided. The obstacle warning apparatus includes at least one camera module, a surround-view processor, an obstacle processor and an image synthesizer. Each camera module includes a projector for projecting structured infrared light to the region of interest outside of the vehicle, and a receiver for receiving first images and second images generated by visible light and structured infrared light both reflected from the region of interest, respectively. The surround-view processor generates surround-view data according to the first images. The obstacle processor generates obstacle data according to the second images. The image synthesizer generates the synthesized image according to the surround-view data and the obstacle data.
THERMAL IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, INFRARED IMAGING APPARATUS, THERMAL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND THERMAL IMAGE PROCESSING PROGRAM
A thermal image processing device includes a thermal image acquiring unit configured to acquire a thermal image detected by an infrared detector provided in a vehicle, an object detecting unit configured to detect an object from the thermal image, a positional relationship calculating unit configured to calculate a positional relationship between the detected object and the vehicle and to calculate a change in the positional relationship, and a determining unit configured to determine whether to calibrate the infrared detector on the basis of the change in the calculated positional relationship.
Apparatus and method for connecting a mobile device camera
An apparatus and a method for connecting a mobile camera device to a vehicle-mounted display apparatus, wherein the mobile camera device is controlled both by the driver operating the mobile camera device as well as by additional information regarding the state of the vehicle, wherein the additional information is provided by vehicle sensors. The information from the driver and the vehicle is processed by an application program on the mobile camera device and the mobile camera device is controlled. The mobile camera device can display images and/or videos and process the images and/or videos by way of the application program. The information to be processed can be displayed on the display of the vehicle-mounted display apparatus.
Method and apparatus for estimating articulation angle
A method and apparatus for trailer recognition are provided. The method includes detecting a face of a trailer in a first and second image, taken at first and second distances respectively, generating a bounding box around the face of the trailer in the first and second images, determining a first and second set of feature points in the bounding boxes of the first and second images, determining a correspondence between the first set of feature points and the second set of feature points and a correspondence between corners of the bounding boxes and estimating at least one dimension of the trailer by performing a least squares analysis to solve for three-dimensional real world coordinates of the first and second set of features points and the corners of the bounding boxes. The method may assist an operator of a vehicle in aligning the vehicle hitch with a trailer coupler.
OBJECT DETECTION AND DISPLAY APPARATUS, MOVEABLE BODY, AND OBJECT DETECTION AND DISPLAY METHOD
An object detection and display apparatus for mounting in a moveable body includes a far infrared camera (10), a display device (30), and a controller (22) (processor). The controller (22) detects, from a first image outputted by the far infrared camera (10), an image of a display target object at a distance equal to or greater than the distance reached by light from headlights (5) of the moveable body, and causes the display device (30) to display an image element corresponding to the display target object based on the position of the image of the display target object in the first image.
VEHICLE
Provided is a vehicle including (i) a vehicle main body, (ii) a road width information acquisition unit that acquires road width information relating to a width of a road surrounding the vehicle main body, and (iii) a display unit that displays width positions of the road based on the road width information acquired by the road width information acquisition unit, the display unit being arranged in a compartment of the vehicle main body.
AUTOMOTIVE CAMERA SYSTEM
A selectively installable camera system for portable use on a vehicle, the camera system may include at least one camera assembly configured to selectively attach to the vehicle, at least one vehicle head-unit having a display and configured to display an authentication image for capture by the camera assembly and communicate with the camera assembly via a wireless network upon pairing of the camera assembly with the head-unit in response to authentication of the image at the camera assembly.
