SUPPORT DEVICE AND METHOD
A support device is disclosed herein. The support device includes a closed ribbon, a plurality of loops extending from a first surface of the ribbon, and a retention strap secured to the first surface of the ribbon and alternatively to another surface of the ribbon. The support device is useful for providing a place to hold and store accessories from a rear-view mirror of a vehicle.
VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A console for a vehicle interior is disclosed. The console may comprise a base and a storage bin moveable between closed, released, open and intermediate positions. The bin may move from the intermediate position to both the open and closed positions. The bin may move from the intermediate to the closed position without first moving from the intermediate to the open position. The console may comprise a mechanism comprising a pin and a track comprising paths of movement for the pin to guide bin movement from the intermediate to the open and closed positions. The base may comprise a projection and the bin may comprise first and second protrusions or wall segments separated by a gap. The projection may travel through the gap as the bin moves from the intermediate to the open position. The console may comprise an overhead console providing a mirror directed to a rear seat.
Vehicle interior component
A component for a vehicle interior is disclosed. The component may comprise a housing comprising a tab and a cover coupled to the housing for movement between a closed position and an open position. The tab may exert a force against the cover when closed. The tab may be integrally formed with the housing. The tab may comprise a first portion coupled to the housing and a second portion comprising an arcuate protrusion to exert the force against the cover. The component may comprise a latch to secure the cover to the housing when closed. The tab may prevent latch disengagement. The tab may comprise a leaf spring. The component may comprise a biasing member coupled to the housing to exert a force against the cover through the tab when the cover is closed. The component may comprise a storage assembly, a sunglass bin or a console.
Versatile article retainer assembly for a motor vehicle
An article retainer assembly is provided. That article retainer assembly includes a housing. First and second retainers are carried on the housing. The first retainer includes a first set of opposed, flexible retaining flaps defining a first slit therebetween. The second retainer includes a second set of opposed, flexible retaining flaps defining a second slit therebetween.
Sun visor eye wear holder
The sun visor eye wear holder comprises a panel, a plurality of pockets, and a plurality of straps. The plurality of pockets attach to the panel. The plurality of straps attach to the panel. Each of the plurality of straps forms a loop that attaches the panel to a sun visor of a vehicle. The sun visor eye wear holder is a structure that attaches to a sun visor of a vehicle for the purpose of storing domestic articles such as eyeglasses.
Rearview Mirror Hanger
A device for attaching to an internal rearview mirror of a vehicle that provides a hook for hanging eyeglasses, sunglasses, or other items. The device attaches to the mirror with a spring clamp system that securely holds it in place. The spring clamp system does not hang below the mirror so as to minimize interference with driver visibility through the windshield and does not cover the mirror so as to prevent obstruction of the driver's reflected view in the mirror. The hooks can be located purposely in the zone directly behind the mirror so as to minimize interfering with driver field of view. Hooks may also be located so as to extend above, below, or to the side of the mirror depending on the desired location. The spring clamp device has a flexible design, allowing attachment to a large variety of vehicle internal rearview mirrors.
Eyeglass holder and associated use thereof
An eyeglass holder is removably affixed to vertical and horizontal support surfaces. Such an eyeglass holder includes a rigid container suitably sized and shaped for removably receiving an existing eyeglass therein. The container has an exterior surface provided with a curvilinear outer region and a linear outer region contiguously mated with the curvilinear outer region. Notably, a portable fastener is removably affixed to the linear outer region of the exterior surface of the container.
Holder for multiple eyeglasses
An eyeglass holder device for holding multiple eyeglasses of a variety of kinds, reading glasses, sunglasses, or protective eyewear type glasses used in a workshop, machine shop, laboratory, or other such work spaces. The eyeglass holder of the invention has a substantially crescent shaped front body portion having a plurality of flexible and thin substantially concave shaped rib structures attached to the inside surface of the front body structure creating the necessary voids to facilitate hanging the eyeglasses on the holder. An important function of the flexible rib structures is to deflect and exert tension on the eyeglasses and hold them stable within the voids to prevent them from moving around and getting damaged. The rectangular shaped back of the eyeglass holder has a recessed back side that accommodates a double sided adhesive tape to mount the holder on to a suitable surface.
CLIP FOR HOLDING ARTICLES AND STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY EQUIPPED WITH CLIP
A clip for holding articles includes a main body having a first body portion and a second body portion mounted to undergo pivotal movement relative to the first body portion for selectively positioning the clip between an open state and a closed state. The first state of the clip is configured to allow an article to be positioned between the first and second body portions, and the closed state of the article is configured to securely hold the article between the first and second body portions. A biasing member is mounted between the first and second body portions for biasing the clip to the closed state. The clip is configured for placement in the open state by pivotal movement of the first body portion relative to the second body portion against the biasing force of the biasing member.
Console assembly
A console assembly including a frame and a door is disclosed. The door includes a storage compartment in which an article may be stored. The door is coupled to the frame for movement to the frame between a closed position in which the storage compartment is inaccessible, an opened position in which the storage compartment is accessible to store or remove the article and an intermediate position between the closed position and the opened position. The console assembly further includes a spring coupled to the frame and/or the door and a cam surface on the frame or the door that engages the spring. The spring is compressed by the cam surface when the door is in the opened position to move the door toward the intermediate position.
