Wearable modular resistance unit
Disclosed is a muscle toning garment with resistance elements, which may be fluid filled dampers. The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath conventional clothing. Toning may thereby be accomplished throughout the wearer's normal daily activities, without the need for access to conventional exercise equipment. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training techniques. Sensors may be provided for sensing any of a variety of biometric parameters and for determining exerted power or calories consumed.
Device and method for sensing, guiding, and/or tracking pelvic exercise
Devices such as medical devices, including those for use in conducting pelvic muscle exercise, are generally provided. Embodiments herein relate generally to the medical device and consumer medical product fields, and in some embodiments, to a device for sensing, guiding, and/or tracking pelvic muscle exercise in men and women for the purpose of treating urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and other pelvic conditions.
Modular Fitness System and Methods of Use
A modular fitness system and associated methods of use are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the system provides a plurality of elongate weighted segments, and a plurality of handle links sized and configured for accommodating a hand of a user. The segments and handle links are removably engagable with one another in series so as to form an exercise structure. Thus, the user is capable of selectively engaging at least one of the segments having a desired weight with at least one of the handle links in order to form an appropriate configuration of the exercise structure for performing one or more desired exercises therewith.
Exercise System
An exercise system, in a first mode of operation, provides for strengthening of the legs of a user and enhancing the user's ability to develop and maintain balance and, in a second mode of operation, for providing various forms of core, arm, and upper body training. The system includes two resilient hemispheres each having a projecting dome and, on an opposite side, a rigid substantially flat weighted base in peripheral relationship about each hemisphere. A circumferential peripheral ring is proportioned to engage a periphery of the base of each hemisphere. An outer area of the periphery of each base includes engagement elements with means connecting rings secured to the engagement elements. Resistance training bands of selectable resistance are securable to the connecting rings. A push-up handle of each hemisphere is press-fittably securable into an axial recess with the weighted base and selectably connects to different weights within the recess.
BASKETBALL SHOT TRAINING DEVICE TO IMPROVE JUMP SHOTS
A basketball shot training device comprising a wrist band 1; a finger piece 2 having two different size open ring holes 3, 4 for placement and securing on the user's index and middle fingers, a forked shaft portion 5 with a straight connection 6 to said open ring hole 3 for the index finger and a curved connection 7 to said open ring hole for the middle finger; and a straight shaft portion 8 connected at one end to said forked shaft portion and at the opposite end having an attachment means 9 to attach to said wrist band.
Material for Enhancing the Effects of Exercise
A compressible material is provided for use with athletic equipment and apparel for enhancing the effects of physical exercise for a person. The material can include one or more compression members that extend from shoes, insoles for shoes, exercise gloves, wraps for exercise equipment, exercise mat or floor covering, headbands, socks, exercise garments, free weights and sports helmets. The compression members can be made of one or more of rubber, thermoplastic rubber, foam rubber, polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber, thermoplastic resin and thermoplastic elastomer. Positioning the compressible material such that it is between the user and any surface for example when exercising, requires the person to maintain balance while performing the exercise by using other muscles that would not ordinarily be used during the exercise, and provides proprioceptive feedback to the person's central nervous system.
INSTRUMENT
Provided is an instrument capable of promoting muscle stretching and increasing a range of motion of a joint. The instrument according to the present invention includes: a main body portion; a pressing portion that is provided to protrude from the main body portion, and a vibration applying unit that generates vibration, in which by grasping the main body portion with one hand, the pressing portion is configured to be brought into contact with skin on a Pacinian corpuscle present in the palm to press the Pacinian corpuscle while transmitting vibration to the Pacinian corpuscle, and the pressing portion can accurately be brought into contact with the Pacinian corpuscle to apply an appropriate pressure to the Pacinian corpuscle.
TONING GARMENT WITH MODULAR RESISTANCE UNIT DOCKING PLATFORMS
Disclosed is a technical training garment configured for use with modular, interchangeable electronics and resistance modules. The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion and tracks biomechanical parameters such as stride length, stride rate, angular velocity and incremental power expended by the wearer. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath or over conventional clothing. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training protocols.
Tethered Physically-Therapeutic Apparatus with an Adjustable Flexible Cord
A tethered physically-therapeutic apparatus with an adjustable flexible cord is capable of being latched onto the body of a user, whereby the user may exercise various skeletal muscles without the fear of dropping the physical-therapeutic apparatus. The tethered physically-therapeutic apparatus comprises a physically-therapeutic device, a bracing cord, and an adjustable clamp. The physically-therapeutic device can be used to exercise skeletal muscle in the hands or feet or massage the fascia of the body. The bracing cord is tied around the user's limb, which helps the user remain in control of the physically-therapeutic device. The adjustable clamp helps tighten the bracing cord around the user's limb, further securing the physically-therapeutic device to the user's body. A first cord end and a second cord end connects the bracing cord to the physically-therapeutic device. The adjustable clamp clamps the bracing cord at a first selected pinch point and a second selected pinch point.
DYNAMIC PROPRIOCEPTION
A wearable device such as a garment is disclosed, having at least one resistance element at a motion segment such as a hip or knee. The garment includes at least one sensor, for sensing a parameter. Electronics are provided for processing the sensed parameter, and for providing feedback. Feedback may be in the form of proprioceptive tactile or audible feedback, or in the form of an adjustment of a performance parameter of the wearable device. In one implementation, resistance to movement of the wearer is adjusted up or down in response to changes in power output by the wearer.
