Umbrella holder for vehicles
An umbrella holder including a holder assembly, an arm assembly and a vehicle assembly is disclosed. The holder assembly includes an arm slot that extends the length of the holder. Mounted within the arm slot is an arm from the arm assembly. The arm swivels within the arm slot to permit desired positioning thereof. The arm includes a channel that houses a retractable arm within. The retractable arm extends and retracts from the channel. The retractable arm includes a claw mounted to a distal end thereof. The claw opens and closes to grip an umbrella in an open configuration. The umbrella provides cover to either of the front or rear door entrances of the vehicle. Thereby allowing a user to load items into the vehicle, while being covered and protected by the open umbrella from weather elements. The user is protected even while both hands are preoccupied by other items.
PERSONAL ARTICLE HOLDER FOR MOBILE DEVICES
One or more personal article holders and/or mobile structures to which personal article holders can be attached or are integrated into are provided. A personal article holder comprises an elongated body comprising a hollow interior and a first open end configured for allowing a personal article to be inserted into the hollow interior. An umbrella holding assembly includes a vehicle structure having a wall that defines an opening providing access to a receiving space, and a holder. The holder includes a receiving feature pivotably coupled to the vehicle structure and defining an inlet for receiving an umbrella. The receiving feature is operable to pivot relative to the vehicle structure through the opening from a first position to a second position. In the first position, the receiving feature is wholly within the receiving space. In the second position, the receiving feature is at least partially outside of the receiving space. The holder also includes a chute coupled to the receiving feature and operable to move relative to the receiving feature between retracted and extended positions. The holder further includes an end cap coupled to the chute distally from the receiving feature. The holder is movable between use and stowed conditions.
