A material supporting system for a pick-up truck includes a platform with side members oriented parallel to one another; and cross-members interposed between the slide members. The system also includes support legs, first tracks, second tracks and roller assemblies. One of the roller assemblies is attached to a first end of one of the slide members. One of the support legs is attached to a second end, opposite the first end, of said slide member; and one of the roller assemblies is attached to said support leg.

There is described a rack system for displacing a ladder between a loading/unloading position and a stored position respectively on a side and on a rooftop of the vehicle. The ladder rack system comprises a handle lever by which a user applies an input angular movement. A gear assembly is connected to the handle lever and comprises gears to multiply the input angular movement into an output angular movement greater than the input angular movement. A linking member is pivotably connected to the gear assembly and is for undergoing and transmitting the output angular movement. A sliding arm assembly is to receive the output angular movement from the linking member, thereby being pivoted between the loading/unloading position in which the sliding arm assembly extends substantially vertically on the side of the vehicle and the stored position in which the sliding arm assembly extends substantially parallel to the rooftop.

A ladder rack for a motor vehicle similar to what is shown in U.S. Pat. No. 6,764,268, but differing therefrom in that the top surfaces of the stationary bar member and the movable bar member are coplanar and in a side-by-side relationship when the load being carried is atop the vehicle's roof rather than being stacked, one-above-the-other, as in the prior art. As such, the ladder rack of the present invention exhibits a reduced height profile.

A liftgate cargo module having an integrated tailgate that unfolds from a hatch or liftgate of a vehicle that adds additional storage and provides a cargo load floor. When unfolded, there is an integrated pass through door formed in the hatch or liftgate permitting longer items to be hauled, while keeping the hatch or liftgate completely closed. The integrated tailgate includes an integrated tailgate taillight that indicates when the vehicle is braking or backing up. The integrated tailgate taillight also helps to show that the integrated tailgate is folded down from and extending from the hatch or liftgate of the vehicle. The integrated tailgate also includes integrated anchor points formed on the cargo load floor so items may be tied down and secured. An all-weather enclosure that is connectable to the cargo load floor for enclosing contents that are being hauled on the integrated tailgate may also be provided.

The present invention relates to a ladder rack for holding a ladder, the ladder rack comprising an arm extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end; a slidable member which is slidably mounted on the arm; a first clamp fixed to the arm; a second clamp fixed to the slidable member at a distance from the first clamp; a handle pivotally connected to the distal end of the arm; a pivoting member pivotally connected on one end to the handle and on another end to the slidable member; whereby upon pivoting the handle upwardly, the pivoting member is forced to pivot at both ends thereof and to push on the slidable member, which translates toward the proximal end, reducing the distance between the first clamp and the second clamp.

The present invention relates to a carrier device installed on a vehicle roof and, more specifically, to a vehicle rear roof carrier device comprising: roof supports fixed to both sides of a vehicle roof in the lengthwise direction; hollow roof fixing rails connected and fixed to side portions of the roof supports, respectively; operation rails disposed on the roof fixing rails and connected to a trunk; a transfer cart which slides along the roof fixing rails; and a carrier box which can be attached or detached to the transfer cart and stores an object therein, wherein the operation rails are connected to the rear portion of the trunk and the transfer cart is transferred and lowered along the roof fixing rails and the operation rails to allow an object to be stored in the carrier box, so that an item can be conveniently loaded or unloaded in the carrier box provided on the vehicle roof through the rear side of a vehicle.

A vehicle roof system and a method of controlling the vehicle roof system are provided. The vehicle roof system includes an opening-closing module that is provided on a roof of a vehicle and a loading module that is provided on the top of the opening-closing module. A locking mechanism is also provided within the loading module. The opening-closing module is slid in one direction or in the opposite direction to open or close the roof. The loading module has a loading space that is separated from an indoor space in the vehicle, with the opening-closing module disposed in between. The locking mechanism supports a weight of a load when in operation for locking and no longer supports the weight of the load when in operation for unlocking.

A vehicle roof system and a method of controlling the vehicle roof system are provided. The vehicle roof system includes an opening-closing module that is provided on a roof of a vehicle and a loading module that is provided on the top of the opening-closing module. A locking mechanism is also provided within the loading module. The opening-closing module is slid in one direction or in the opposite direction to open or close the roof. The loading module has a loading space that is separated from an indoor space in the vehicle, with the opening-closing module disposed in between. The locking mechanism supports a weight of a load when in operation for locking and no longer supports the weight of the load when in operation for unlocking.
