20230158986 · 2023-05-25 ·

A system of divider panels for a vehicle is provided. The system includes a first divider panel that separates a front seating area from a rear seating area of the vehicle. A second divider panel separates the rear seating area from a cargo area of the vehicle. A third divider panel separates the rear seating area into two separate areas. The first, second and third dividers may be removably coupled in the interior cabin of the vehicle by mounting points defined in the roof of the vehicle, the floor of the vehicle, and seating support structure of the vehicle.

Autonomous vehicle roof pod

The technology includes a roof pod system for a vehicle configured to operate in one or more partly or fully autonomous self-driving modes. The roof pod system is arranged to sit above the roof of the vehicle, for instance at least 10-50 mm above the roof surface. The roof pod may be supported by a set of legs such as cross-rails. The roof pod system incorporates various sensors and related equipment to assist with self-driving operation. Some sensors may be arranged in the main housing of the roof pod, while others can be located in a dome-type structure extending above the main housing. A cabling harness assembly runs wiring and other links between the roof pod and the vehicle chassis.

A rack for a truck, SUV or vehicle is disclosed herein which allows the user to lift a load above a roof of the vehicle. The load can be secured to the roof via the rack. Rotating rails are attached to a stationary rails. The stationary rails are mounted to the roof of the vehicle. A basket may be traversably slideable from the rotating rails to the stationary rails. The rotating rails may be lifted up after loading a basket to also lift the basket and the load up and allow the basket to slide onto the stationary rails. Once the basket and load are on the stationary rails, the basket is locked into place with a lock so that the load remains in place while the user is driving.

System and method for multi-shot injection molded roof ditch molding with multiple complex curvature

The present disclosure relates to a roof ditch molding for mounting in a roof ditch of a roof of a motor vehicle. The roof ditch molding may have a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is made from a molding process using a first material. The first material imparts a rigid characteristic to the first portion. The first portion is further configured to at least substantially cover a major portion of a roof ditch of a vehicle roof, and to closely follow at least one contour of the roof ditch. The second portion is made from the molding process using a second material. The second material imparts a flexible characteristic to the second portion and is integrally connected to the first portion such that the second portion projects laterally outwardly of the first portion while following a contour of the first portion. The second portion provides a compliant seal/transition area between the first portion and the roof ditch.
