A load carrier for a vehicle adapted to be mounted on the vehicle for transporting a load. The load carrier includes at least one pivot arm pivotably connected about a pivot axis to a base frame at a pivot connection portion. The at least one pivot arm is pivotable between an operative position and a storage position. The load carrier is adapted to at least partly carry the load when the at least one pivot arm is positioned in the operative position. The load carrier can include a locking mechanism for securing the at least one pivot arm in the operative position and in the storage position.

The carrier device includes a support frame, a first suction cup mounted at the first end of the support frame, and a second suction cup mounted at the second end of the support frame. The carrier device also includes a first vacuum pump configured to selectively adjust the pressure within the first suction cup, and a second vacuum pump configured to selectively adjust the pressure within the second suction cup. The suction cups may be pivotally mounted to the support frame such that the rotational position of the first and second suction cups relative to the support frame is adjustable to selectively couple the carrier device to a vehicle. The carrier device may also include a support frame having a length that is adjustable to adapt to the size of a vehicle, and/or to adapt to the size of an accessory.

A carrier device for securing an accessory to a vehicle is provided. The carrier device includes a support frame, a first suction cup mounted at the first end of the support frame, and a second suction cup mounted at the second end of the support frame. The carrier device also includes a first vacuum pump configured to selectively adjust the pressure within the first suction cup, and a second vacuum pump configured to selectively adjust the pressure within the second suction cup. The suction cups may be pivotally mounted to the support frame such that the rotational position of the first and second suction cups relative to the support frame is adjustable to selectively couple the carrier device to a vehicle. The carrier device may also include a support frame having a length that is adjustable to adapt to the size of a vehicle, and/or to adapt to the size of an accessory.

The control unit includes an inner part, a switch and a sleeve. A switch is pivotably connected to the inner part and the sleeve is mounted to the inner part and the switch. The sleeve includes a flexible tongue to pivot the switch. The switch includes a rod on one end thereof. When the switch is pivoted, the rod is inserted into one of the holes of the second tube to set the length of the bar. When the rod is removed from the hole, the second tube is moved relative to the first tube.
