Vehicular imaging system with extendable camera
11708035 · 2023-07-25 ·

A vehicular imaging system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) and a camera device disposed at a body portion of the vehicle. The camera device includes structure that supports a camera and that is movable between a stowed position, where the structure and camera are within the body portion, and an extended position, where the structure and camera are extended outward from the body portion so that the camera is positioned with a field of view exterior of the vehicle. The structure includes a plurality of individually movable elements that are disposed adjacent one another and that cooperate to form the outer surface. The individually movable elements, when moved relative to the body portion of the vehicle, cooperate to extend and retract the camera. The camera, when the structure is in the extended position, captures image data and provides captured image data to the ECU.

DUPLICATED WIRELESS TRANSCEIVERS ASSOCIATED WITH A VEHICLE TO RECEIVE AND SEND SENSITIVE INFORMATION
20180013211 · 2018-01-11 ·

A vehicle is provided that comprises two or more radio frequency (RF) antennas and two or more RF transceivers to communicate wirelessly sensitive information associated with a user of the vehicle (the two or more RF antennas being at different physical locations on an exterior of the vehicle). The vehicle determines which one of the two or more RF antennas is receiving a strongest signal from a common signal source, selects a first RF transceiver associated with the RF antenna with the strongest signal to send the sensitive information associated with the user to the common signal source, and sends the sensitive information associated with the user to the first RF transceiver for transmission to the common signal source.

OFF-ROAD VEHICLE

The present disclosure relates to a recessed roof panel (100) for a vehicle, the recessed roof panel comprising a housing 101) with a basin (102) and a lip portion (104) at least partly surrounding the basin, wherein the housing is configured such that, in use, the basin (102) extends towards an interior of a vehicle when the lip portion (102) abuts against an exterior surface of a vehicle roof.

REAR-VIEW MIRROR SYSTEM
20230234510 · 2023-07-27 ·

A rear-view mirror system comprises a mounting assembly arranged outside a motor vehicle, and a first image acquisition unit at least partially received within the mounting assembly configured to acquire a captured image from the exterior of the vehicle. A display device is provided inside the vehicle for displaying to a user a displayed image derived at least in part from the captured image. An electronics carrier comprises an electronic control unit (ECU) connected to the first image acquisition unit so as to generate an image signal for the display device to show the displayed image. The ECU is arranged, together with the electronics carrier, at least partially within the mounting assembly.

Drone docking structure of autonomous vehicle and a method for delivery using the same

A drone docking structure of an autonomous vehicle can include: a coil housing having a space for docking a drone to the vehicle; a docking cover configured to open or close a top portion of the coil housing according to whether the drone is docked; and a motor housing installed on a side surface of the coil housing and including a motor configured to actuate the docking cover.

Light projection lens and mobile object

A light projection lens includes: an inner surface which light emitted from a light source enters, and includes a first concave portion; and an outer surface from which the light exits. In a cross section parallel to an optical axis of the light emitted from the light source, the outer surface and the first concave portion have a difference in radius of curvature in at least a portion of the outer surface and the first concave portion. In a cross section perpendicular to the optical axis of the light emitted from the light source, the first concave portion has an elliptical shape. The light which exits from the outer surface is lesser in amount in an optical axis direction of the light emitted from the light source than in a direction different from the optical axis direction.

Suction-based door protection device
11565642 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A removable vehicle exterior door guard device comprising an elongate panel and a plurality of vacuum seal suction cups. The panel can comprise a foam pad or other flexible polymer coupled to one or more suction cups configured to hold the panel to a vehicle surface. The device can comprise a foam pad having suction cups configured to provide a vacuum seal to a vehicle exterior door, for example using screw-tightening suction cup mechanism or a lever tightening suction cup mechanism. The vacuum seal suction cups are configured to maintain a strong seal against the vehicle surface over extended periods of time, even if the panel is bumped or the vehicle surface is not clean. The device can additionally include a theft deterrent system comprising a cord attached at a proximate end to the panel and at a distal end to an anchor that is secured inside the vehicle.

Vehicular accessory adapter
11713003 · 2023-08-01 ·

A vehicular accessory adapter attaches a vehicular accessory to a front vehicular mount of a vehicle, and includes a front connector having a main body, a first and second front connector openings, and a front connector flange having a front connector attachment structure to which an accessory can attach; and first and second attachment elements to secure the front connector to the front vehicular mount. The adapter can optionally include a spacer configured to position between the front vehicular mount and the front connector. The adapter can further optionally include a rear connector having a base a base opening and a rear connector flange to which an accessory can attach.

FIFTH WHEEL COUPLING WITH A CAMERA
20230026584 · 2023-01-26 ·

A fifth wheel coupling with a camera, including a coupling plate and a bearing element, with which the coupling plate can be secured to a towing vehicle, wherein the coupling plate has a centrally arranged locking region for receiving a king pin, as well as an insertion opening running along a longitudinal axis (x) and bordered on both sides by two insertion flanges. The camera is mounted in a position in the region of the fifth wheel coupling with the lowest possible risk of soiling and damage, with the camera being secured to the bearing element.

VEHICLE CAMERA DEVICE

In a vehicle camera device, engaging claws of a base are passed through through-holes of a camera mechanism and insertion pins of a second cover are inserted in insertion holes that are within the engaging claws, such that the through-holes are positioned with respect to the engaging claws and the insertion pins are positioned with respect to the insertion holes. Therefore, the camera mechanism and the second cover can be positioned with respect to the base, and a lens of the camera mechanism and an opening of the second cover can be aligned well.
