BATTERY-POWERED VEHICLE SENSORS
A computer includes a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to select a scanning rate for a first sensor of a vehicle based on at least one of data related to a current time or data related to a location of the vehicle; instruct the first sensor to run at the selected scanning rate; in response to receiving data from the first sensor indicating a newly present object, turn on a second sensor; and then record data from the second sensor. The second sensor has a higher power draw than the first sensor.
Roof module having a transmitter and/or receiver apparatus
A roof module having a panel component which forms at least sections of a roof cladding of a vehicle roof, which functions as an outer sealing surface of the roof module, and has a viewing area, wherein at least one transmitter and/or receiver apparatus of an environment sensor is disposed directly and without gaps at the viewing area and/or the panel component or is integrated therein and is configured to transmit and/or receive electromagnetic and/or optical signals directly via the viewing area and/or the panel component.
VEHICLE COCKPIT MODULE ASSEMBLY
A vehicle cockpit module assembly disposed inside a dashboard for a vehicle and including a dashboard connection frame inserted into a bent inner side surface of an upper dashboard and including a structure insertion groove for insertion disposed at one extended side; a rail assembly including a main housing to accommodate a linear power transmitting portion, which includes a pulley and a timing belt and a fixing bracket coupled to one side of the main housing, the fixing bracket inserted into the structure insertion groove of the dashboard connection frame, and including a sliding hole formed to allow horizontal sliding of a monitor; and a connection frame fastened to the linear power transmitting portion, which is disposed inside the main housing, through the sliding hole and fastened to the monitor to allow the monitor to slide in the sliding hole due to the linear power transmitting portion.
Improved Loudspeaker Assembly And System For Vehicles
A loudspeaker assembly for use in a vehicle, the vehicle including a cabin and one or more cabin walls, the assembly including a plurality of drivers fitted to a common enclosure, the enclosure including a vent duct passing through a cabin wall of a vehicle such that one side of the loudspeaker assembly is in acoustic communication with a volume of air external to the cabin of the vehicle and the other side of the loudspeaker assembly is in acoustic communication with air in the cabin of the vehicle.
Vehicular camera having coaxial connector
A vehicular camera assembly includes a housing, a PCB disposed in the housing, a circuit board connector at the PCB, and a coaxial connector having a core connector element and a shield connector element that at least partially circumscribes the core connector element. The PCB includes circuitry associated with an imager of the vehicular camera assembly. The circuit board connector includes a first connector element and a second connector element. The housing includes a vehicle connector portion configured for connecting to a connector end of a vehicle cable. When a first end of the coaxial connector is electrically connected to the circuit board connector, the core connector element of the coaxial connector electrically connects to the first connector element of the circuit board connector and the shield connector element of the coaxial connector electrically connects to the second connector element of the circuit board connector.
Low-profile, backlit, panel assembly for displaying images and/or data within a passenger compartment of a vehicle
A low-profile, backlit panel assembly and a controller for displaying images and/or data within a passenger compartment of a vehicle are provided. The assembly includes a substrate panel perforated with a two-dimensional array of closely-spaced holes. The panel is configured to be attached to a support structure of the vehicle. The assembly further includes a plurality of semiconductor-based, lighting devices supported at a back surface of the panel. Each of the lighting devices includes at least one lighting element. Each of the lighting elements is individually addressable by the controller to control luminous intensity of the light emitted by the at least one lighting element. Each of the lighting devices is aligned with one of the holes so that light emitted by each of the lighting devices travels through its hole to the passenger compartment in the form of a pixel of a two-dimensional image.
Apparatus and method for a vehicle seat
Apparatus (10) for a vehicle seat, the apparatus (10) comprising a first supporting means (12) and a second supporting means (14), the first supporting means (12) comprising a storage means (16) and the second supporting means (14) being a headrest comprising a cover (18) for covering the storage means (16), the headrest being arranged to have a deployed condition and a retracted condition, wherein in the deployed condition the storage means (16) in the first supporting means (12) is at least partially uncovered, and in the retracted condition the storage means (16) in the first supporting means (12) is covered by the cover (18).
Display device and method for fabricating the same
A display device includes a window and a display panel coupled to a bottom surface of the window. The display panel has a substantially regular tetragonal shape or a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view, and the window includes a base member and a bezel layer on a bottom surface of the base member. Between one and three light-transmissive main alignment marks and a transmission area having a different shape than that of the display panel are defined in the bezel layer, and each of the main alignment marks is arranged at a position corresponding to a vertex of the display panel or at a position corresponding to a vertex of an imaginary regular tetragon or of an imaginary rectangle that has the same center point as the display panel and that is larger than the display panel.
VEHICLE CABIN UNIT AND VEHICLE
The invention pertains to a vehicle cabin unit, which comprises: - a main body, - a panel, which is permanently connected to the main body, which panel has a front surface and a free panel wall, which free panel wall protrudes from or is spaced apart from the main body, wherein the panel comprises a display, which forms at least a part of the front surface of the panel, which display is connectable to a vehicle subsystem controller, wherein the free panel wall of the panel includes a touch sensitive input surface which is configured to allow interaction of a user with the vehicle subsystem controller.
Adjustable seat tray
A seat tray for a vehicle is disclosed herein. The tray holds items and prevents items from falling off the seat. The tray may include a bottom and sidewalls creating a holding area. In one version, the tray be adjustable in length and/or width. The tray may be secured to the seat with an extended tail-end at the bottom configured to slide under the seat between the cushions. In some variations, the tail-end may include a wrinkle-like ridge to prevent items from sliding under the seat.
