Information display system
The information display system includes an antenna, a display unit, a processing unit, and a housing. The antenna receives outside information from an outside of a vehicle. The display unit performs display to the outside of the vehicle. The processing unit is capable of executing outside-targeted display processing by which to cause the display unit to perform display associated with the outside information by controlling the display unit based on the outside information received by the antenna. The housing is installed on the vehicle after having the antenna, the display unit, and the processing unit assembled thereto and thus unitized. As a result, the information display system produces the effect of enabling beneficial information to be provided to the outside of the vehicle.
Storage device for a vehicle cab
A storage device for a vehicle cab, said storage device comprising: a vertically moveable storage unit onto or into which items are intended to be stored, a support structure configured to support the storage unit and to allow vertical movement of the storage unit between a first/upper position and a second/lower position when the storage device is mounted to a wall or similar, wherein the support structure comprises a first spring member arranged to dampen downwards movement and assist upwards movement of the storage unit.
Audio system for a utility vehicle
An all-terrain or utility vehicle includes an audio system having at least one speaker. The at least one speaker is positioned at a forward portion of the operator area and is supported by a body panel. More particularly, the body panel may be configured to receive at least a portion of the speaker as well as at least a portion of an upper frame assembly. In this way, the speaker is positioned to direct sound towards the rider, is generally concealed from a front view of the vehicle, and is positioned within available space on the vehicle above at least a portion of the door.
Vehicle and control method thereof
The present disclosure provides a vehicle that includes a display and a rotation member that rotates the display. A vision sensing unit acquires eye position information of a user and a controller determines a first area included in a field of view of the user based on the eye position information and a rotation angle of the display. The controller then divides a display area of the display into a plurality of areas based on the first area and operates the display to display content corresponding to each of the plurality of areas.
VEHICLE MIRROR RECORDING SYSTEM
The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to an audio and/or video recording system configured within a vehicle rear-view and/or side-view mirror. Advantageously, the disclosed system is configured to record criminal incidents and/or provide evidence after a wreck or other driving event has occurred. The vehicle mirror includes a front face comprising a reflective surface that is operably attached to a rear body. The mirror interior houses at least one camera capable of recording an event, such as a vehicle break-in. The camera spans at least one surface of the rear-view mirror, such that the camera lens is present on the mirror exterior. Because the majority of camera and associated electronics are housed within the vehicle interior, the perpetrator is unaware that he is being recorded.
VEHICULAR CAMERA HAVING COAXIAL CONNECTOR
A vehicular camera assembly includes a housing, a PCB disposed in the housing, a circuit board connector at the PCB, and a coaxial connector having a core connector element and a shield connector element that at least partially circumscribes the core connector element. The PCB includes circuitry associated with an imager of the vehicular camera assembly. The circuit board connector includes a first connector element and a second connector element. The housing includes a vehicle connector portion configured for connecting to a connector end of a vehicle cable. When a first end of the coaxial connector is electrically connected to the circuit board connector, the core connector element of the coaxial connector electrically connects to the first connector element of the circuit board connector and the shield connector element of the coaxial connector electrically connects to the second connector element of the circuit board connector.
Low-Profile, Backlit, Panel Assembly for Displaying Images and/or Data within a Passenger Compartment of a Vehicle
A low-profile, backlit panel assembly and a controller for displaying images and/or data within a passenger compartment of a vehicle are provided. The assembly includes a substrate panel perforated with a two-dimensional array of closely-spaced holes. The panel is configured to be attached to a support structure of the vehicle. The assembly further includes a plurality of semiconductor-based, lighting devices supported at a back surface of the panel. Each of the lighting devices includes at least one lighting element. Each of the lighting elements is individually addressable by the controller to control luminous intensity of the light emitted by the at least one lighting element. Each of the lighting devices is aligned with one of the holes so that light emitted by each of the lighting devices travels through its hole to the passenger compartment in the form of a pixel of a two-dimensional image.
LOUDSPEAKER ASSEMBLY FOR PROVIDING AUDIO EXTERNAL TO A VEHICLE
A loudspeaker assembly for a vehicle includes a loudspeaker mounted in the vehicle, the loudspeaker having a first side facing an interior of the vehicle and an opposed second side. The loudspeaker is configured to generate an acoustical signal having a front wave directed into the interior of the vehicle and a rear wave directed away from the interior of the vehicle. An acoustic coupler is disposed on the second side of the loudspeaker and extending toward an exterior of the vehicle, the acoustic coupler arranged to transmit the rear wave to the exterior of the vehicle such that the acoustical signal is audible in the interior of the vehicle and at the exterior of the vehicle.
SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING INTERCHANGEABLE CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLIES FOR ADJUSTABLE COMFORT SETTINGS
A seat assembly includes a seatback having a cushioned component pivotally coupled to the seatback and operable between deployed and retracted positions. The cushioned component includes an interior cavity. A rack assembly is positioned within the interior cavity and includes a forward-most rack with a first receiving area. The rack assembly further includes a rearward-most rack having a second receiving area. A first cartridge assembly is removeably received in the first receiving area of the rack assembly. A second cartridge assembly is removeably received in the second receiving area of the rack assembly. The rack assembly may also include one or more intermediate rack assemblies positioned between the forward-most and rearward-most rack assemblies for supporting other intermediate cartridge assemblies. Each cartridge assembly includes a different density profile for providing variated comfort settings to the seatback of the seat assembly.
