EXERCISE APPARATUS
An exercise apparatus comprising: a foot support, a user interface that includes a visual display, the foot support being movable by the user on the frame back and forth through any one of a plurality of complete, reproducible and different arc segments of a master arcuate path, the foot support being interconnected to a selection device that enables the user to select any one of the plurality of arc segments, one or more detectors adapted to detect one or more of force, energy or power exerted by the user over time on the foot support or distance or velocity of travel of the foot support or resistance assembly during the course of the user's performance of all or a portion of an exercise cycle, the visual display displaying a visually recognizable format of one or more of the force, energy, power, distance, time or velocity.
Wearable Gym
A wearable gym can include base component configured to be worn over a portion of a body of a user. The wearable gym can also include at least one exercise device coupled to the base component, wherein the at least one exercise device is configured to burn calories of the user when the user engages the at least one exercise device.
Neuromuscular Activation Vertical Exercise Device and Method
A vertical exercise device for triggering sympathetic and/or parasympathetic system responses comprising at least one foot support and a handlebar assembly. The foot support(s) may have a support surface configured to contact the entire ball of a user's foot during use, which may be inclined at an angle and substantially flat. The handlebar assembly may have at least an upper handle configuration and a lower handle configuration, and be adapted to keep a user's wrist within a safe range of motion during use. The positioning and orientation of foot support(s) and the handlebar assembly may each be independently adjustable in various aspects, such as horizontal and vertical displacement, rotation, tilt, angle, etc. The angle and depth of the support surface may each be independently adjustable. A horizontal vibration system may move one or more components of the device along the horizontal plane. Handlebars may have thumb plates to restrict grip.
Apparatus, in particular for balance training, having at least one movable platform
An apparatus for balance training and/or fine motor skills training, having at least one movable platform which can be moved in an oscillating manner in at least two dimensions, having at least one counterforce unit which is provided to oppose a force for producing a deflection of the movable platform with a resistance. The apparatus has at least one force transmission interruption unit which interrupts a force flow between the movable platform and the counterforce unit in at least one operating state.
EXERCISE SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
An exercise apparatus and related method according to which the exercise apparatus includes a loading interface, a user support, and a load-bearing mechanism operably coupled between the loading interface and the user support. A load-bearing mechanism adapted to be operably coupled between a loading interface and a user support of an exercise apparatus. The load-bearing mechanism includes an actuator, a position sensor, and a force sensor. A method for adjusting a relative distance between a loading interface and a user support of an exercise apparatus using a load-bearing mechanism to accommodate users of varying size. Exercise systems and related methods according to which a kiosk is in communication with one or more of the following: a grip-strength tester or component(s) thereof; a balance board or component(s) thereof; a vibration system or component(s) thereof; and/or other exercise devices or systems.
RESPIRATORY THERAPY APPARATUS AND METHODS
Respiratory therapy apparatus includes device (100) with a rocker arm (12) supporting a valve (11) that opens and closes an expiration opening (10) so that an oscillating resistance to flow is produced accompanied by an alternating sound at the frequency of oscillation. The apparatus also includes a sensor (20) with a microphone (21) that detects sound from the device (100) transmitted through air. The sensor (20) computes the frequency of the detected sound and represents this on a display (23).
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PHYSICAL STIMULATION OF TISSUE
Methods and systems of applying physical stimuli to tissue are disclosed. The methods can include reducing or suppressing pancreatitis in a subject by administering a low magnitude, high frequency mechanical signal on a period basis and for a time sufficient to reduce or suppress pancreatitis. The methods can include enhancing healing of damaged tissue in a subject by administering to the subject a low magnitude, high frequency mechanical signal on a periodic basis and for a time sufficient to treat the damaged tissue. The systems can include a device for generating a low magnitude, high frequency physical signal and a platform for applying the low magnitude, high frequency physical signal to the subject for a predetermined time.
Exercise equipment and method of exercising utilizing a pulse generation
An exercise equipment configured to exercise muscles by require the muscles to generate torque intermittently is provided. The exercise equipment includes a sleeve. A pipe is slidably disposed within the sleeve. The sleeve is concentric to the pipe wherein the outer surface of the pipe is spaced apart the inner surface of the sleeve. A counterweight is mounted to at least one end of the pipe wherein the rotation of the pipe along an orbital path causes the pipe to turn within the bore of the sleeve. The turning of the pipe is a result of the counterweights completing a revolution as the counterweights rotate about the longitudinal axis of the pipe. The turning of the pipe generates a pulse so as to actuate muscular structure within the body of the user.
PORTABLE ELLIPTICAL EXERCISE MACHINE
An exercise apparatus having a pulley, a pair of stabilizing assemblies each configured to couple a front portion of a respective pedal element to each side of the pulley, a looped belt configured to couple the pulley to a resistance assembly, a tension stabilizer configured to maintain a tension of the looped belt on the pulley, and the resistance assembly configured to assert an adjustable resistance to the pedal elements through the looped belt, where the resistance is adjusted by changing a distance between a flywheel element and a corresponding magnetic plate element of the resistance assembly, the magnetic plate asserting a magnetic force over the distance on the flywheel element and the looped belt looping around a co-rotating extension from the flywheel element.
