Pivoting Internal Display Unit With Fixed Screen
Display systems for a vehicle are contemplated that comprise a seat display unit coupled with a display screen, where the display screen is affixed to a seat back and the seat display unit is disposed within the seat back. The display screen is fixed to the seat back such that its relative position with the seat back remains constant when the seat back is reclined. The seat display unit is coupled to the seat back, such that the seat display unit automatically tilts or pivots when the seat back is reclined, and while the display screen does not move relative to the seat back.
VEHICLE MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICES
A mounting system includes a cradle disposed in a headrest in a vehicle, and a primary adapter. The cradle is shaped and dimensioned to receive the primary adapter. The primary adapter includes first to fourth lips forming a recess in the primary adapter. The recess is shaped and dimensioned to receive a first computing device or a secondary adapter. The first computing device, or a bezel of the secondary adapter, is substantially flush with an outer surface of the headrest upon mounting the first computing device or the secondary adapter to the primary adapter.
HEAD RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY WITH AN INTEGRATED DISPLAY
A head restraint assembly is presented herein. The assembly includes a head restraint pad, post, nonconductive collar, and electronic male component. The post is connected to and configured for supporting the head restraint pad. The nonconductive collar is configured to connect to the post, the collar including at least one region of conductive material. The electronic male component is configured to be wired to the region of conductive material of the collar via the post.

System and method for providing an integrated user interface system at a seat
A light-weight and low-power integrated system module suitable for installation at a passenger seat disposed aboard a passenger vehicle and methods for manufacturing and using same. By integrating selected interface system components with the associated interconnections, the integrated system module provides an intuitive user interface system for interacting with a passenger entertainment system. The integrated system module can be installed within a seatback of the passenger seat that compliments the look and feel of the user interface system, creating an immersive entertainment experience during travel.
Flexible single piece sliding door
A door assembly for a vehicle interior opening includes a track extending in an imperfect arc and a door supported by the track and slidable therealong through the imperfect arc. The door comprises a single piece, flexible body, having a plurality of crests defining generally planar surfaces extending parallel to each other in a lateral direction. The crests are joined together by respective ones of a plurality of troughs coupled therebetween.
Vehicle entertainment assemblies and systems
Methods and systems are disclosed relating to in-vehicle entertainment, information presentation, and/or processing. Aspects of multimedia in-vehicle entertainment systems that may incorporate removable and/or portable tablet-type computing devices are described. In certain configurations, a hinged tablet computer carrier includes guide rails into which a portable tablet computer may slide while in an open position, and which can hinge into a closed or locked position that holds the tablet computer in place, positions it for viewing, and effects mechanical and electrical coupling of the tablet computer with other components of the in-vehicle entertainment system. Exemplary placement could include headrest, seatback, overhead, or in-dash mounting. Hinging or sliding could be vertical or horizontal. Various other mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical aspects of the methods and systems are described.
