INTERFACE FOR CONNECTING PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH VEHICLE
An interface device for connecting a portable electronic device to a vehicle includes a holding module having a slot into which a portable electronic device with a display is inserted and a front opening exposing the display of the inserted portable electronic device, and an adaptor module coupled to a rear part of the holding module and connecting the portable electronic device to a vehicle. The holding module is disposed on a center fascia of the vehicle, and the adaptor module is disposed in the center fascia.
Cabin monitoring system for a vehicle
A cabin monitoring system for a vehicle includes a video display screen disposed in a cabin of the vehicle so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. A camera assembly is disposed at a ceiling of the cabin of the vehicle and includes a camera having an imager and a lens, with the camera having a field of view that encompasses a rear seat area of the vehicle. An illumination device is operable to illuminate the rear seat area encompassed by the field of view of the camera. The illumination device, when operated, illuminates the rear seat area and the camera captures image data representative of the illuminated rear seat area. The image data captured by the camera is provided to the video display screen for displaying video images for viewing by the driver of the vehicle.
ADJUSTABLE PORTABLE DEVICE HOLDER
An apparatus for mounting a portable electronic device to a pair of spaced apart posts (e.g., of a vehicle headrest or a suitcase), is also useful as a stand to support a portable electronic device at an angle relative to a horizontal support surface on which the apparatus rests. The apparatus includes a first element configured to be selectively attached to a pair of spaced apart posts by application of an external compressive or expansive force to thereby decrease or increase a distance between portions of the first element until grips of the first element can be aligned with and attached to the spaced apart posts, and then removing the external compressive or expansive force. The apparatus also includes a second element that is attached to the first element and is configured to selectively hold a portable electronic device. The apparatus, when used as a stand, functions like a tripod.
REAR SEAT OCCUPANT MONITORING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A rear seat occupant monitoring system for a vehicle includes a video display screen disposed in the vehicle cabin so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. A camera is disposed a dome light or an overhead console. The dome light or overhead console includes first and second illumination sources that, when operated, illuminate a rear seat area within the field of view of the camera. The first illumination source principally emits visible light when electrically powered, and the second illumination source principally emits non-visible light when electrically powered. The camera captures image data representative of the rear seat area when the rear seat area is illuminated by at least one of the first and second illumination sources. Image data captured by the camera is provided to the video display screen for displaying video images for viewing by the driver of the vehicle.
Haptic feedback module designed to be integrated into an automobile vehicle for a mobile device and corresponding control device
The invention relates to a haptic feedback module to be built into a motor vehicle for a mobile device (3) having touch-sensitive surface (3a), characterized in that said haptic feedback module comprises at least one actuator (17) configured to transmit a movement to said mobile device (3). The invention also relates to a control device for a motor vehicle which includes such a haptic feedback module.
Integrated keyboard tray
Described herein are integrated keyboard tray assemblies including a tray table comprising a top surface of substantially planar construction and a body, wherein the top surface may be disposed above the body when the tray table is in an open position. The integrated keyboard tray assemblies also including a passenger seat, wherein a rear portion of the passenger seat may share a pivotal connection with at least the body of the food tray, and a sensor adjacent the tray table and configured to detect a user interaction at the top surface of the tray table when the tray table is in the open position.
Trailer hitching aid system for vehicle
A tow hitching aid system for a vehicle having a hitching ball for connecting to a hitching receiver of a trailer includes a camera disposed at the vehicle and having a field of view that encompasses the hitching ball of the vehicle. The system also includes a plurality of distance measuring sensors disposed at the vehicle. A display screen is disposed in the vehicle and is viewable by a driver of the vehicle when the driver is normally operating the vehicle. A control receives input from the camera and input from the distance measuring sensors. During a tow hitching maneuver, the display screen displays video images captured by the camera, and at least one graphic overlay is superimposed over the displayed video images to assist the driver during the tow hitching maneuver to connect the hitching ball of the vehicle with the hitching receiver of the trailer.
SHARKFIN RF AND CAMERA INTEGRATION
A communication assembly may include a first antenna. The communication assembly may further include a housing that houses the first antenna and an electronics enclosure. The housing may include a bottom that may be disposed on a fuselage of a vehicle. The electronics enclosure may include a radio frequency module and a camera module.
