MOTORIZED PADDLING SIMULATOR
A paddling simulator includes a bar, a cable attached to the bar, a motor operationally coupled to the cable such that the motor can apply a force to the cable, and a controller configured to control the motor to generate a first tension in the cable during a propulsion phase of a paddling stroke and a second tension in the cable during a recovery phase of the paddling stroke.
Hippotherapy device
A hippotherapy device includes a saddle for receiving a person thereon, a programmable movement control, and an automatic movement device for automatically moving the saddle according to a movement pattern program. The program specifies a sequence of target values of positions and orientations of the saddle in the locality of the movement device in order to execute the movement pattern. The hippotherapy device further includes a person securing device having a main support on which a body strap is mounted, at least one sensor for detecting at least one physical variable characterizing the body posture of the person on the saddle, and an auxiliary control device configured to compare expected values of the physical variable with current values of the physical variable detected by the sensor, and to trigger an associated safety function, if a deviation of the current values from the expected values exceeds a predetermined tolerance threshold.
Exercise machine with lockable mount and corresponding sensors
An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a motor. The exercise machine comprises a gearbox coupled to the motor, wherein the gearbox comprises bevel gears. The exercise machine comprises a spool coupled to the gearbox. The exercise machine comprises a cable wound about the spool. A second exercise machine is disclosed. The second exercise machine comprises a motor. The second exercise machine comprises a lockable translatable mount. The second exercise machine comprises a cable coupled to the motor via the lockable translatable mount. The second exercise machine comprises a sensor coupled to the lockable translatable mount, wherein the sensor is used at least in part to determine mount lock state. A third exercise machine is disclosed. The third exercise machine comprises a motor. The third exercise machine comprises a mount. The third exercise machine comprises a cable coupled to the motor via the mount. The third exercise machine comprises a sensor coupled to the mount, wherein the sensor is used at least in part to determine mount lock state. The third exercise machine comprises a lockable arm coupled to the mount and a second sensor coupled to the lockable arm, wherein the second sensor is used at least in part to determine arm angle.
Exercise bike
An exercise bike operable while remaining stationary on a support surface. The exercise bike includes a bicycle frame with a pedal assembly coupled to a clutch mechanism that is movable between an unlocked state in which the pedal assembly drives a wheel in a first rotational direction and rotates relative to the wheel in a second rotational direction, and a locked state in which the pedal assembly is rotationally fixed to the wheel to drive the wheel in the first rotational direction and the second rotational direction, and a handlebar assembly. The handlebar assembly is coupled to the bicycle frame and includes a handlebar and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is moveable between an unlocked position in which the handlebar is allowed to rotate about an axis, and a locked position in which the handlebar is restricted from rotating about the axis. A control module may move the locking mechanism and the clutch mechanism between their respective locked and unlocked states.
MANUALLY POWERED TREADMILL
A manually powered treadmill includes a frame; a first rotatable element coupled to the frame; a second rotatable element coupled to the frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partly supported by the plurality of bearings, where at least a portion of the running belt defines a curved running surface; and a safety device coupled to at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element. The safety device is structured to substantially prevent rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element in a first rotational direction and permit rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.
LEG TRAINING DEVICE
Exemplary arrangements provide leg training devices suitable for high intensity training of hip flexors while simultaneously training the extensors of hip and knee joints. The exemplary leg training devices include foot fixings which are permanent vertically movable components of the device, each of which are configured to releasably engage a foot of a user in operative engagement therewith while limiting the movement of the foot relative to the foot fixings. Each of the foot fixings is operatively connected to a suitable mechanism that provides a resistance force to vertical movement of the foot fixing by the user's leg. In exemplary arrangements the resistance force may be selectively variable with regard to the magnitude and/or point of application so as to provide the desired training regimen.
CABLE REFORMER
The present disclosure describes an exercise device including a first base and a second base. The first base includes a pair of support handles rotatably connected to the first base, a pair of cable arms rotatably connected to the first base, wherein the pair of cable arms include a first engagement mechanism, an electronic resistance device connected to a pair of cable handles via a pair of cables that pass through a pair of channels defined by the pair of cable arms; and a seat. The second base includes a beam affixed to and connecting the first base and the second base. The beam includes a track, a backrest carriage that is slidably engaged with the track and includes a second and third engagement mechanism, and a backrest rotatably connected to an end of the backrest carriage.
