The stud shaft can be welded to a component. The at least one counter-surface of the retaining device is designed on a contact shoulder for the underhead of the stud head which encompasses the stud at least in part. A plurality of recesses are designed in the contact shoulder of the retaining apparatus, interrupting the counter-surface, wherein the contact surface of the underhead contacts the contact shoulder of the retaining apparatus in the plane of the countersurface.

PANEL FASTENING SYSTEM

A fastening system comprising a second fastener fastened to a first fastener; the first fastener comprising a hollow housing having a side-wall and a top-wall; a first aperture formed in the side-wall and in the top-wall of the hollow housing, the first aperture configured for entry of the second fastener during fastening of the second fastener and first fastener; a second aperture formed in the side-wall of the hollow housing; a beam formed in the side-wall between the first aperture and the second aperture, the beam attached at opposing ends to the side-wall; the beam blocks the first aperture to inhibit separation of the second fastener from the first fastener through the first aperture; and the beam is configured to be deformed during fastening of the second fastener to the first fastener.

Vehicle trim panel interlock for limiting trim panel separation during an impact condition

A vehicle door includes a first interlock coupled to an inner frame panel. A second interlock coupled to an inner trim panel. The first and second interlocks are separated to define a ready state. During an impact condition, the first and second interlocks selectively engage one another to define an impact state that resists deflection of the inner trim panel away from the inner frame panel.

Lid, in particular trunk lid for a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger car

A lid for a motor vehicle has at least one body shell part, having at least one trim part which is held on the body shell part and by which the body shell part is covered at least in regions, and at least one fastening element which is arranged on the trim part and to which a coupling element can be fastened. Via the coupling element a covering element of the motor vehicle can be moved together with the lid during a movement of the lid. The trim part includes at least one receiving element which penetrates a corresponding receiving opening of the body shell part and in which the integral fastening element which penetrates the receiving opening is received at least partially with fixing of the trim part on the body shell part via the receiving element.

TETHER CLIP AND STRUCTURE FOR COUPLING THE TETHER CLIP TO A PILLAR GARNISH
20170253195 · 2017-09-07 · ·

A tether has a pair of guide plates. The pair of guide plates has two sides. A distance between points located on the two sides increases, as the points on the two sides approach a tip of the tether. The tether may have elastic branches. The pair of guide plates may have protrusions protruding toward an anchor. The tether may be made long by curving a tether intermediate portion. The tether may have a second guide plate and a third guide plate. When a pillar garnish is moved in a direction away from a pillar, the two sides of the guide plates are brought into contact with a rim portion of a tether housing portion defining the tether inserting aperture, thereby preventing the tether from rotating about a center axis line of the clip and the anchor to pass through the tether inserting aperture. When a bottom wall of the tether housing portion comes to a tether portion located between the guide plates and the anchor, the elastic branches and the protrusions prevent rotation of the tether. The second and third guide plates also prevent rotation of the tether.

A protective shell protects an interior door panel of a vehicle having an inner face with a protruding door pull defining a door well for receiving a user's fingers and a door sill leading to a window opening. The protective shell has a deformable sheet of hard plastic with an exposed side and a reverse side, the reverse side being profiled to fit over the inner face of the vehicle door interior panel. An outwardly directed top surface portion rests on the door sill. A protrusion on the exposed side of the deformable sheet encloses the vehicle door pull. A locking well extends downwardly from an upper ledge of the door pull and is responsive to downward pressure on the upper ledge to fit snugly into the door well to hold the protective shell securely in position on the interior door panel.
